questions re black ice set

2 questions about black ice sets:

What exactly does "tier 2 combat time remaining "3:28:20" mean, will armor items disappear after that time?

What set is preferrable for a guardian fighter, purified or corrupted?

    It means that's the time from your tier 2 armor to down grade to a tier 1, you just need to empower it with black ice to improve it to tier 3 and get better stats.

    The second I could'nt tell, I have purified with my full tank and it works pretty good.

    Thanks, bit of an annoying timesink there unless the amount needed is tiny.

    The amount needed is very small.
    After running through the Dale Campaign with enough stuff to keep 3 Crafters refining Black Ice full time I have over 100,000 Refined Black Ice banked and will not need to refine more for a LOOOOOOOG time.
