hey ive been out for some time (left before mod 3) and browsing through whats coming i noticed my pve spec will basically be gone for ever.

I basically used a fast encounter spamming archery spec but all those feats are history now. As the build bascially revolved around correcting aim/prime critical interaction with thronward and rain of arrows + melees t2 ranged cd reduction and stormstep action for very fast encounter rotations. Looks like anything remotely similar will be in trapper route but the Good thing is there is pretty big dps boosts coming.

So how are u guys building ur pve archers in preview now?

Im guessing full out archery. though getting t1 trapper for the extra cc might be interesting.

I also missed module 3 changes,

is the buff too split the sky good? like good enough to feat it?

or is it better to just take the new path? im clueless about it

Straight full archery + Stormwarden for the passives. AOE dps wise no more sings = rain of arrows + thorn ward uneffective, Split the sky has the plus that it can be cast without drawing aggro as it triggers only when an enemy attacks one of your team, so you might just cast it then spam 15k+ split shot crits until things die.

well sings were the best for rain ofc but there were other ways of pulling it off, i tended to play close range-mid distance back then, anyways......

I could imagine rain of arrows still being the biggest sustained dps encounter we have, so as long as u can either have good roots or a melee keeping mobs on him it shoul still be good.

But still.... I guess having 6s roots could be pretty good for pulling it off.

Just plain split spamming is sort of boring.

Yeah, but I ensure you that especially in the new dungeon/skirmish/kessel where the adds have increased control resistance plain split-shot spamming might be more rewarding than spending time to actually place a Rain of Arrows, just to see it becoming junk due to the CW's oppressive.
