If I just got done with Neverwinter Whispering Caverns. What is next for me? I don't have any quests. I got one for Icewind Dale but I didn't have the necessary gear, etc. What should I do?

There are a few you can get from Lord neverember and Sgt Knox.

Sgt. Knox will point you toward Sharandar and the Dread Ring, where you will find the sets of daily quests to advance campaigns.
    Where'd my blinky-blinky path go?

As others have said, talk to Knox. At level 60, each day there are really only three things I do:

    1) Doing dailies/leadership for AD
    2) Sharandar/Dread Ring campaigns
    3) Epic dungeon runs for purple gear

Once you finish Sharandar/Dread Ring, then you can go to IWD.

Technically you don't have to finish Sharrandar & Dread Ring you only need to get 3 boons from one of those places to start in IWD, depending on your preferences you might get more out of running IWD instead of grinding out all boons from Dread and Sharandar first. Easiest boons to get is Dread Ring as all you need is a bit over a week or two maybe of doing dailies to get your 3rd boon. Sharrandar you can get two boons super easy if you have other characters who don't spend their formorian concotions that you can trade for crescents which can get you the first two boons, but it takes something like 12 days (think its like 6 days to unlock the gate and 6 more days get the 3rd boon) to open up the third gate and start working toward the 3rd boon. If its your only toon do everything at once every day, think you still get dread faster at that rate even more so if you can afford to by thayan relics.

I like Dread Ring because all you need to do is one task/day and maybe run some dread ring skirmishes to make up the scripts you skip out on ... and now that you get AD rewards for doing skirmishes at 60 that makes that task much more desirable to do. Run that at least 3/day for your daily skirmish and do the main lair daily and you will have your 3 boons from dread in no time and still have plenty of time to find groups for dungeons.

If you do both Dread and Sharrandar running everything you probably wont' have much time for anything else.

    *edited for typos*

Also my suggestion is just for those wanting to jump into IWD, point out that you don't need to fully complete Sharrandar nor Dread Ring to do that. IWD can probably be completely skipped if the new mod comes out with similar gear, as I think you can do some heroics while you level a character in MOD 4 but I don't know that for sure yet.

If I remember corectly, you need to have TWO Toons that have your three Boons before you can access Icewind Dale, so my advice would depend on your total daily time spent on this game:
Scenario 1: Lots of time: Start Toon number 2 and LvL that up while doing your Dailies.
Scenario 2: Little time: Focus on your Main exclusively until you get everything done and are ready to start Icewind Dale. Then swap to a new Character and repeat.
Scenario 3: The Wild Card: Module 4 is about to drop. Just play your Main until then. Then look at the Scourge Worlock/Dragonborn and decide between Scenarios' 1 and 2.

    Hope this helps.

    Edit:
My advice to you would be to definitely do BOTH Dread Ring and Sharandar.
The Dread Ring is short and sweet, and will drop some nice Purples with a fair bit of regularity.
Also gives you a tiny chance at a nice Artifact.
Sharandar, however drops about the best Enchants you're likely to see outside of the A.H.
Shards of Terror drop from Nailbiter and Shards of Elven Battle Enchants drop from Celandine.
And there is a Campaign Task that will allow you to get Fey Blessing Enchants (which cause Rank Four Enchants to drop from enemies regularly, awesome for leveling up those Artifacts).
So that takes care of your Weapon, Armour, and Utility Enchants right there.
You can also buy a Potion that adds +1 to all attributes for an hour.
These sell like hotcakes on the A.H.

Nope. I think you are thinking of access to the vault quests for getting class artifacts.

IWD is gated per character by: 10k gs + 3 boons from either Sharandar or Dread Ring.

No, this is just to get the class artifact quest from Jarlaxle, who happens to be in IWD. They wouldn't cut off single-character players from content to that extent.

    Sorry about that.
As an Altoholic I already had enough Toons at that point that I always just did both at the same time.
Never even noticed that there were separate requirements :)

I did go to Sharander and it let me talk to someone then said come back tomorrow as if I couldn't do anything more there. Sounds like from what your saying is do the daily quest and skirmishes and that will be enough to go to Icewind Dale. I have not seen anything on the Dread Ring though in Sharander.

There is nothing in Sharandar about the Dread Ring. That also originates from Knox, who will send you to talk to some folks in PE, which will send you to yet another new area.

If you're at the "come back tomorrow" stage of Sharandar, then it sounds like you finished all the introductory quests there.

Looks like you finished the "intro to Sharandar" quest.

Come back tomorrow. Do dailies. Rinse, repeat. Unlock campaign boons/complete campaign tasks.

If you finished the 8-ish (?) quests Srgt. Knox gave you upon reaching level cap, he's got nothing else for you.

I see you have to get Conquering our dead quest from Knox to start this but I never got that either that I remember.

If you can't/didn't get that quest, the you have to file a support ticket in-game. This forum has given you all the help it could.

It would appear Knox did not give you the quests he should have. At least, that's what I'm assuming.

As above poster stated, support, support, support.

Sorry if it's a stupid question, but did you check if you could just GO to the Dread Ring from the Map?
That should just jump start the mission chain if you can do it.
