edited August 2014 in General Discussion (PC)

Greetings adventurers!

We're having 2 livestreams this coming week and we want your (constructive) questions! (If you have them, that is)

On Monday 8/4, we'll be showing off and discussing the new dungeon: The Lair of Lostmauth!

On Wednesday 8/6, we'll be having an in-depth look at the Dragonborn Race.

If you have any questions about either of these topics, post them here!

For details:
http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/detail/6006883

Note: The devs we'll be chatting with are the minds behind creating the content we see in Neverwinter, not pricing it.

-The Dragonborn depicted in screenshots all look Green/Ochre in color. What other colors will be available?

-I imagine dragonborn should have their own walking animations based on their race rather than their class. Has this been done or will they follow the standard class animations?

-Well anybody who has read Fourth Edition rules knows that Dragonborn is basically a race that screams 'this is a Paladin.' Any teasers for a class fitting for an honor bound race?

    Dragonborn Race.

will we get to choose a dragon deity for this race? like Asgorth/Io or Bahamut.

will we get to choose the place where the dragonborn are from (Tymanther) during character creation?

Scarlet, Gold, Rust, Ocher, Bronze and Brown are the colours that the dragonborn are said to have, will we get any other colours like Black, Blue or Green? Also with the eye colour, dragonborn are said to have only Red or Gold, will we get other colours for eye colours besides those two?

during the event on Wednesday showcasing the dragonborn race will we get the chance to try out the race even though if some of us haven't brought the pack yet?

Can you allow those of us who have brought the dragonborn pack, to play the race before the 14th? I don't mind not getting the items from the pack until the 14th but I just wanna play the dragonborn race now like the advert you posted said!

Q: Will the Dragonborn have their own racial quests? If so, if we change a character's race to a Dragonborn, will that character be able to do those quests?

Q: Will there be a free-version of the Dragonborn Race? Perhaps the name the paid verson the "Dragonborn of Tymanther" specifically and the free version just plain "Dragonborn," like how we got free Drow and the Sun Elf as free versions of the Menzoberanzan Renegade and Moon Elf, respectively?

Q: With the addition of new races and classes, this brings into question more diverse diety selections. When can we expect to get access to more of the many Forgotten Realms dieties, especially ones that compliment our newest classes and races? For example, we have no Dragon Deities available for the Dragonborn right now and none that are considered "evil" for the Infernal Warlocks. As well, we only have one Elven Deity, despite having 5 Elven Subraces, only one Dwarven Deity, and no Halfling Deities at all. Furthermore, dead or "inanimate" deities *cough*Mystra*cough* -- are there any considerations for these as well?

Last one is a tad off topic:
Q: Are there any plans to also offer Star Pact and Fey Pact Powers and Paragons for the Scourge Warlock - even if they have be me made into their own "class" as the Infernal Pact appears to have been made here?

My question there was more-or-less whether they are already working on it or know of plans for it. I don't expect all my questions to be answered. If I did, I'd ask them all privately but most likely then be unable to share such answers, unless it's been okay'ed to relayed. ;)[/I]

Q: What Ideas are being tought about TR's and DC's?

Q: Is there going to be a light version of the dragonborn race (Ex: Char slot, Appearence change token, Respect token and Dragonborn race themselves)?

Q: Is there ever going to be a fix for skills that are used but for some reason are canceled even before starting the animation but then no cooldown refund happens?

Looking at the pics, i'm not noticing tails on the dragonborn, will they have tails or not? since in most p&p game art they do have tails.

Dragonborn do not have tails or wings, as specifically stated in all 3e and 4e material. Draconians and other Dragon-kin of the Dragonborn however do have tails and some have wings. Dragonborn specifically, do not. Some Dragonborn Classes' Paragon Paths however do have powers that temporarily let them sprout magical or divine wings.
Dragonborn resemble humanoid dragons. They're covered in scaly hide, but they don’t have tails. They are tall and strongly built, often standing close to 6½ feet in height and weighing 300 pounds or more. Their hands and feet are strong, talonlike claws with three fingers and a thumb on each hand. A dragonborn's head features a blunt snout, a strong brow, and distinctive frills at the cheek and ear. Behind the brow, a crest of hornlike scales of various lengths resembles thick, ropy hair. Their eyes are shades of red or gold.

A typical dragonborn's scales can be scarlet, gold, rust, ocher, bronze, or brown. Rarely do an individual’s scales match the hue of a chromatic or metallic dragon, and scale color gives no indication of the type of breath weapon a dragonborn uses. Most dragonborn have very fine scales over most of their body, giving their skin a leathery texture, with regions of larger scales on the forearms, lower legs and feet, shoulders, and thighs.

Young dragonborn grow faster than human children do. They walk hours after hatching, reach the size and development of a 10-year-old human child by the age of 3 and reach adulthood by 15. They live about as long as humans do.

Dragonborn can sprout wings by taking the Scion of Arkhosia Racial Paragon Path (don't expect that in this game just yet) but they are born with no wings and no tail. Any images you see with tails are almost certainly fan made.

EDIT - Took too long to get the info from my darn books, darn you Zeb!

I am stepping stone to a moderator on the second question, asking if they will be available a free appropriate breed?
And then ... because from what I understand, this new breed of talents will be similar to 'human with the difference that can choose to give a +2 to a feature at its option, will not make this race a little too relieves? there will be a risk that it becomes almost too unpredictable race in the game as it relieves speaking in terms of PVP?
then as my 3rd question there is the possibility that in the future there will be the chance to play a Daeva? and other races? ded because in the world and populated by a lot of races and religions would be a shame not to make the game a variety that is already populated by clones almost always the same (this is due to a perzonalizzazione almost prohibitive and limited assortment of equipment).

EDIT - Took too long to get the info from my darn books, darn you Zeb!

I see that the initial pack offered ( for RL money) has a winged cloak in it. Three parts to my inquiry here -

    1) Is it going to be offered as a transmute for regular armor cloaks so those of us with half dragon ( or demon ) charecters can display dyable wings without having to choose "dragonborne" as a race?

    2) Can we get the long asked for neck slot item on Fashion items for a Cloak of the Fleshy Wings for the same effect, OR at least a fashion outfit that has fleshy wings?

    3) If we cannot get a fashion neck slot then how about a tunic with wings attached in fashion items with a co-ordinating set of pants, and I guess a "headdress of horns" or a very gemmed up headpiece. (This was already done with fairy wings for faye fashion, so draconic wings for draconic fashion seems plausible.)

    Thank you.

On the last trailer it seems that a Dragonborn is actually using Dragonbreath (time 1:07). Will that be implemented in some way?

Thanks for the explanation. I´m a little sad, though.
