I think I will have enough to make either this week, what would your recommendation be?

For whatever I make , it will be swapped around most likely when I pvp each of my toons, HR, CW, DC, GWF (and soon warlock). Im a little torn as Greater Vorpal will bring better dps, but GPF ticks help out against HRs/TRS .. soooooo

What would you advise?

plague fire is not good as it seems.
The tick suck and they are used just to let things like "chance to <insert what> when dealing damage" work as much as possible.
So lets say: pathfinder hr, distroyer gwf. And give an usefull debuff.

Vorpal wins every day hands down in every other situations.

bilethorn tr and cw can work well in pvp.

i would give a try to lightening too.

Tenacity: changes everything for Vorpal, I'd go Plague

Tenacity is a PvP stat introduced March 6th, 2014. The tenacity stat increases damage resistance, crit damage resistance and control resistance against enemy players.

Base level tenacity (0 tenacity) provides 10% resistance.

Average player will have 20% crit resistance!

Actually the more ADDITIVE crit resistance players have, the better a crit enchant such as Vorpal becomes, relatively speaking.

That having been said since Greater Plaguefire is the top tier PF level and Greater Vorpal isn't (since Vorpal has a perfect version), I might be tempted to get the GPF even for PvP. Although if the OP wants a safe choice that is good (even if not the very best choice) with every single class the Vorpal is the one to go for.

For the purpose of switching between classes, I would say go with Vorpal.

Currently on the AH a GPF is going at 5.5 mil, while a Gvorp is only going for 3.7 mill. That should tell you something on it's own. Even if you wanted the Gvorp I would still make the GPF first. Sell it, then buy a Gvorp. You'll have almost 2 mill AP left over for your trouble...

Plaguefires come out of lockboxes. They are a bit rarer and there is no perfect plaguefire like there is a perfect vorpal. But your right if the OP has the AD/Assets, that wouldnt be a bad idea what you're suggesting.

I put also terror enchant in the equation

for lesser and normal rank: terror > vorpal and PF without dub

For high rank and with a 33% crit chance (or more) is questionable if is better Terror or Vorpal... perfect Vorpal 50% increase x 33% = a average increase dmg around 17% for shot... perfect Terror give +12% costant increase dmg for every shot and is NECROTIC damage (teorically not subject to all DR reductions) and also 20% debuff defence.

For me for class with high difference as dmg output as HR is better Terror... if vorpal tick on a low dmg shot is a waste respect Terror... also for a class with a AOE as split shot the costant spread 20% defence debuff is nice as team work... the advantage of Terror increase with lower crit chance.

Terror vs PF at high rank: 7.5% increase dmg + 3 x 2.5% dmg stacks = 7.5% dmg dot for 3 seconds + 15% defence debuff (15% increase dmg in 3 seconds, but need 3 hits for reach that level and half increase is dot dmg) against 12% instant costant increase dmg + 20% defence debuff.

Bah... seem a draw or little better terror (for a HR with PvP set and high HP the dot dmg with PF can give more heal that dmg with a low dmg shot... and over 3 stacks PF give only 7.5% increase dmg, but PF have 45% defence reduction vs 20% of terror).

Overall Terror and PF > Vorpal for striker classes as HRs, TRs, Destroyer GWFs (include also in the equation the good debuffs as team work).

PS: terror is lesser common as enchant, but the combined total debuff defence (65%) by PF and Terror is really good... so also a mix of 2 enchants is good in the team).
