Getting BI Gloves/Main Hand is only going to get Worst

I know there has been quite a few threads about this issue. but i just had to drop one of my own as a concern about the proccess of acquiring BI gloves/MH...

I've been trying to farm epic heroics for 3-4 days now... and after a lot of chat messages, asking for invites and running for epic heroics on my own instance... i can do about 1 heroic per 2-3 hours of playing. and that is due to people are being less and less inclined to invite you to their instance, and all-and-all care about those heroics.

After 4 days of playing 4-5 hours per day looking for those epic heroics, I've managed to do something like 4-5 epic heroics... (yet my log in achievements says i've only done 1, bug? maybe i don't know...)

Now i have somewhat of a life outside this game... meaning i can't really go on with this farm-fest since i can usually put out about 1/1.5 hours of play a day, which would let me believe that i would be able to do 1 epic encounter every other day or so.. based on the frequency its happening now...

I know i haven't had a lot of grind like other players so some might say i have no right to complain.. but i'm speaking for those casual players who can't play 24/7 and still want to get the full BI gear...

after this intro here are my main concerns :

1. finding epic heroics is really tough and its only going to get tougher because over time more and more players will already be getting their BI gloves/MH and will have no reason to do them (actually it's already happening now that a lot less players are inviting for epic heroics in the chat, and still a lot are asking for an invite...)

2. there's really no possible way to do the epic heroics with only 2-3 players or even more. so when the demand will drop i reckon it will be downright impossible to get any of the epic heroics done.

3. sometimes even when an epic heroic pops out.. it's so far away and there's so many players on it that by the time i get there it's already over. and even if i get there half way through, there's really no way i can get the drop i need because i haven't did enough "contribution" for the heroic or whatever...

4. while there's so little epic heroics and so many players gunning for them - each one that pops up has 20+ players on them... which makes the chance of each player to get the gloves/MH even smaller...

5. the fact that this is only going to get more frustrating over time makes me really nervous to get my gloves/MH asap.. which makes me even more nervous that i can't get any done..

and the ones that i do get done... obviously don't drop them for me (or else i wouldn't be complaining)

Anyway, that has led me to think that maybe the more efficient way of going on this is doing the lvl2 heroics. since you can do them with a group of 4-5 players (chances even out better) and there is always a lvl2 heroic hovering arround the map...

would love to get any tips and thoughts about this. thanks...

If the Epic HE's where every half hour it would be more player friendly

First of all I can understand your frustration but BI gear in all honesty is just rings and whistles, it isn't good, at all not for PvM or for PvP, one of the reasons it isn't good is the ICD on the 4 set part passive is super long (90 second CD). So you don't have to stress about it that much if you want to get them for the sense of achievement go for it, but there is no reason to get frustrated about it.
That said you could get the gloves pretty easy by doing Wolf pack rare HE, its pretty easy and you can probably do it solo or with one or two more players depending on your class. I got my gloves yesterday there and I was doing it while waiting in queue for GG PvP just to pass the time.
Its all a matter of perspective if you don't make a big deal about it and don't waste all your time on it and come to the realization that these sets are just bad and you don't really need it you will just do the HE to pass the time or for fun and not as a chore you'll enjoy the game more and who knows you might even get a drop.

That is a good news! I read from somewhere in the forum that the MH and Glove only drop in the Epic HE. A rare HE is spawn more frequent and much easier to complete.

They need to change the drop to be 2-3 random players from every fight! This idea you need to be a top 5 prospect is crazy. I have gotten GREAT SUCCESS 12 times and got nothing but epic profession junk every time.

100% agree this RNG utter b/s is beyond a joke

Since the update of which Panderus said it would be easier now to get GREAT success and Lowered the drop rate its been even WORSE

Tried on my TR for 8 days now 4 hours each and only gotten to do 23 more beholders of which MY main Blade didnt drop, Even did Prospects as some one said lesser chance of gettting it from this so did 43 of these Same results

RNG sucks imho

Drop rate on BI items has effectively killed my desire to play. I farmed dozens of HE and got dozens of great successes. Received dozens of silly purple professional epics. No gloves. No main hand.

Across all my toons i have definitely broken 100 HE.

It was more grind than I could stand. I am now out till Mod4 hoping for something good then that isnt so grindie to get.

I don't mind grinding but grind with such low RNG means it is possible to never get something and that is just silly.

At least you got silly epic profession stuff (needed to make the gear btw), I have not been so fortunate as to get even purple mats, my purple mats have almost all come from that daily/weekly dwarven queen thing. I get great success and just get 180 ice and some green or blue mats and enchants.

I can't seem to get the MH for my GF (although i've started lose interest in playing him for this area as he is protector spec and running these areas with people to run with isn't exactly fun and way too time consuming, takes me all night to do one round of dailies).

I was lucky and got the gloves and mh for 3 out of 4 toons that have IWD unlocked, my GF got the gloves the night before patch, and is the only one that has not gotten MH, although I did get a MH from a beholder fight on my DC two weeks after the patch I think.

I hope that if it gets to the point people aren't running these for gear that some how the number of people required will get lowered or they will just flat allow you to buy all the gear and mats for Black Ice once player population in these areas decline, assuming that MOD 4 doesn't require MOD3 to access (I almost hope it does just because it will filter people out and it will make people continue to visit the IWD area even if its just to group to unlock boons to unlock mod 4)

just to add a note to devs, i gave up a week ago, i see no point of repeating after 100th times with maxed 350 reps, and dailies achievements, that RNG is unrealisic, i tried everything that has script were meant to do, it is low blow.

so i guess i better skip hunting for gauntlets and wait for Mod 4 and pray and hope that new one isnt another "Farm-fest" again, and folks will be very extremely angry and fed up.
it is suppose to be a game, not another frustrating MMO tactic of grindings and mental torture.

Doctor called me that my family were concerned where i am for last 30 days, some were thinking it becoming to the point of "Obsession", and i have to stop and go out for a walk as doctor ordered.
and i want devs to read this, this is how i feel.

Yes, I mentioned this in another post. I say at best you have another 2 weeks after that I doubt there will be enough players to take down an epic. Everyone will be almost done with all boons with every character they have, so why bother with the zone?? If you cannot get a drop its almost useless to buy the other pieces, you're not getting the bonus. Im kinda shocked my DC has never gotten a purple anything yet my protector GF has weapon and glove..

When mode 4 comes out..... forget about it.

Conversely, I got the main hand from Black Ice Beholder without GREAT SUCCESS.
