Help. How do I make a two story home?

I'm fairly new to the foundry and I recently made the outer part of a home and now I want to make the inside. I want the house to have two-three floors. With the preset rooms, it's kind of impossible. I've seen other people's foundrys like inns and whatnot that have a bottom floor, stairs, and a second floor. How do I do this?

You build it from scratch on an outdoor map. Or Room Builder rooms on an indoor map - still by hand.

If you try my "Old Magic" quest [NW-DGBLCWRFP] and go into the first objective (Registrar Office), it is all "constructed" from detail pieces, only about 50' "below" the terrain. It has both an upstairs, downstairs, and another upstairs. If you go inside you can look at and get a feel for all the various detail elements used. I believe I used Village destroyed house platforms for floors, and/or wood "trim" details.

Thank you, but where do I find the pieces? I'm fine with putting it together but I can't find any floors or walls besides dungeon ones. It's an indoor map.

If you search for "Wall" in all of the details you will find others. You can also look at the Dwarven and Human sets. There is also a nice Thayan block that looks good as a smooth floor. You'll need to be creative with walls. The human trim pieces can be turned on their side or used as a floor (be careful though some don't have collision. Don't be afraid to layer or stack items to get the effect you want.

I made a custom building for my guild on our guild account that is an RP only map so it is easy to go in and look around without having to do any questing. It is NW-DPNKTJ3SW. The entire thing is built on the Ocean Expanse map

Notice the two toned walls on the main floor. Those are two different types of trim pieces. The floors are from the Thayan set. The wooden wall in the bathroom/shower area is the bar back wall. The floor on the second floor is the wood trim piece.

Upstairs those walls are the standard human wall. That is because that set matches the doorway and the door that fits in that doorframe. Each of those wall pieces have the "movable wood" piece in between them. The hearthstones of the fireplaces are the village stone walls turned and sunk into the floor.

Remember to add windows, that is a personal pet peeve of mine, however.

Since it is very difficult to get the ceiling pieces to line up perfectly without clipping I recommend you put a black depthfade on top of any building you make.

You really need to take time and browse through all the detail assets to see what's available.
You'll miss things for sure if you rely on filtering by "floor" or "wall" or "platform" due to all the spelling errors and misnamings.

For floors -- check out things like

Natural? Firegiant walkway tops, Human building trim, Netherese ruins floortiles, Protectors Enclave retaining walls turned sideways, Thayan building domeroof base

Wood? various Human building trim, Village building large destroyed,

Also, you need to remember that some of the assets don't have to be used as they are intended. Want to make walls out of floors? Sure. Maybe use wooden trim asset as a table? Go for it. Want to build stairs of out shelves? You can. The only thing stopping you is your imagination.
