GF is HAMSTER

How much longer will take to fix the GF? I'm beginning to think that the only satisfaction I'll get from the GF is the one when I delete him.

Should put some warning on char selection "NO TANKING, NO DPS, USELESS JUNK".

    Maybe devs can put a poping image when you want to chose a GF. Something like:

    I know what you mean but dont fret. My suggestion - try all the other classes, read the forums and pick one that sutis you while we all wait for a GF fix. After the fix, whenever that maybe, if you are still interested in the GF return to it. Thats my plan. Till a fix comes I'll do only solo stuff - campaigns/some pvp doms maybe.

    Doing dailys(i never do foundry dungeon or skirmish)+campaings (dread ring + sharandar + Ice Wind) is about 2-3 hours a day... what is sometimes my whole play time.

    We need a re-work ASAP, we are wasting our precious time!

    They are HAMSTER but I love mine.

    Won't hold my thumbs on a fix being around the corner. Judging by what the devs said they see it as a long process because the GF's issues go beyond fixing one or two feats, so my guess is Mod 4. New class plus massively overhauled GF, I'd put about tree-fiddy on that.
    PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.

    Gentlemencrush is busy fixing other areas, I wish he would give us a modicum of time to just give us the same stat bonuses of the GWf and raise our weapon damage by maybe 100 max damage and that would assist us greatly in advancing in this new content.

    I don't know how I am going to get triple kills, and I don't get groups for heroics because im a hindrance, I am really pardon the analogy "The red headed step child" of the game!

    My main used to be my GF but he's been gathering dust. I just don't have enough free time to do dailies on three toons and then try to get the GF into GG to farm coins. It's crazy to me that the most heavily-armed shield-bearing class is the least effective in ALL cases. He takes twice as long to complete IWD dailies as my (now Main) HR.

    I know everyone thinks that their class has been nerfed (even some CWs and GWF's have the nerve to say they've been nerfed) but I believe that most people KNOW how bad the GF has become. I've played some variation of this class since the late 70's so it pains me to see how useless this class is in NW. He should be the Protector out in front not the slow, powerless toon he has become.

    Cryptic knows how to make a tanking Tank, they know how to make a dps Tank too. They did a great job long ago in a now dead game called City of Heroes. There we had the Tanker - the tough protector with inherently the most HP and the best DR/Deflect + CC high resitance who could herd a whole instance and even kill..slowly. Then we also had the Brute - less tougher than the Tanker, less HP, similar CC resistance and very high damage. Funny thing is the Brute had a mechanic similar to how GWFs accumulate determination called Fury (As a Brute engages in combat, it unleashes his Fury. The longer he remains in combat, attacking and being attacked, the more damage he deals).

    And you know what - both classes worked. They were fun to play, they were effective. The fact they failed so miserably here with the same basic classes is strange to say the least.

    Normally i just read these forums for fun but i think that this is just terribel.

    Yes, the GF is weakest of classes for its role imo. Yes, the damage is low and
    the dailies take twice as long on him as my CW. Yes, in pvp its terrible to fight
    a decent GWF.

    But if we focus on what we have, what we can get out of this class. Then we
    can get past this, get better and provide some feadback. That is what dev's need
    to improve this class and screaming ''GF is HAMSTER'' thats just not good. Now im not
    saying what has to be improved or something, i just respeced into IV and have to
    learn to play that. Even with my 13.5K toon with only a augment pet i can solo IWD.

    Funny because Neverwinters class description still says this:

    The Guardian Fighter functions primarily in a tanking role, with the ability to DPS. The Guardian Fighter's primary attribute is Constitution; their secondary attributes being Strength and Dexterity. Their naturally high health and ability to equip plate mail makes them highly durable. They can easily build aggro with the Enforced Threat and Mark abilities for AOE or single target threat respectively. Clerics are natural allies for the Guardian Fighter, as their healing makes the Fighter nigh unkillable. Guardian's daily powers are mostly powerful AOE effects that build high amounts of aggro in combination with other effects, such as an AOE stun or lifesteal. Thankfully, This class can build action points very quickly, having several abilities in both the heroic and paragon tree's to further accelerate AP gain.

    There's has been a plethora of well written threads for I think 6+ months now! Yet GWF are Buffed AGAIN, and now HR are Buffed while GF remains useless.
