I just noticed that when I'm using Guarded Assault and/or SoS and I recive damage from a HR's Thorn Ward the damage goes to the Thorn Ward instead of the HR, is intentional or is a bug?, we don't have a chance vs HR's like to have bugs that help them still more...

    Dude..our current condition wont let us kill an HR 1v1, no matter what you do. HR is a very good 1v1 class in PvP and GF is more of a support class. In my opinion there's no build that can make us win 1v1 against a PvP spec'd HR with same gear level atm. Even stalemating it for 1 min or 2 mins before somebody rotates to you is going to be hard. Much harder than stalemating a Recovery build TR.

    If there's a viable build that can make us more threatening against HR, I would love to see the demonstration video against a top tier HR.

    In response to your post, Idk if that's intended or not, I know im not helping one bit here :) im sorry D;

    The only class we can counter same GS would be CW - DC maybe a TR if we are really lucky and hes not perma.
    Shieldbash 60 GF ~ Iron Vanguard 19.0k
    Overpowered 60 CW ~ Thaumaturge 14.5k
    ==========================================

    ~ GF Buffs were great we are much better, please fix the bugs now... Thank you!

    Dude... I know, with my HR, fighting with GF is a joke, I'm not saying there's a build to kill them, nor if a GF is a support class or not, Idk why you come with that, I just want to know if it's a bug, which I also note that happens with Flamespikes with their lava AoE, I know some attacks use Humanoiad Invisible and invulnerable NPC/Monsters (with my HR I noticed cause you see an Humanoid form in Thorn Wards from afar), and my SoS/Guarded Assault try to reflect the Damage to them, I noticed because I see a lot of 0's coming from the HR's Thorn Ward or Flamespike's Lava...

    PS: Well I guess I won't have the answer here so I will post it in Bug Reports, if anyone wanna keep it up so Devs can see it here it is: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?681301-GF-Supremacy-of-Steel-Guarded-Assault-doesn-t-work-correctly-with-some-attacks&p=8071111#post8071111

    Thornward counts as an enemy, when you check ATC, thornward is listed as an seperated ''person''.

    Ok... so the system count it as another npc/monster/enemy... as I alredy knew... but again, for me it's logical that if I have an skill/enchantment or whatever, that reflect Damage it should reflect the Damage to the person who is doing it... I mean, if we follow the same logic then they could implement Split the Sky or Comanding Shot as the same way... and count the Deer or the Cloud as an separate enemy and the HR won¡t being reciving damage from those encounters... and hey, and why not then make the giant Icy Knife from a CW count as an enemy and then don't reflect that damage to the CW?... and go on...

    That's a bad logic for me, if 'x' is causing damage with 'y' skill, no matter how 'y' skill works, 'x' should be being reciving the damage if it's reflected.

    The difference is in the mechanics of how these things work. All the other things you mention are just special effects with the actual ability being fired from the player; Thorn Ward basically summons a static 'pet' which fires individual attacks at targets. It's not an AoE in the traditional sense. This also explains why it targets TRs in stealth (although it does no damage). Other games use this technique as well.

    So when any retaliatory ability gets triggered by Thorn Ward it targets the source of the damage - which is the pseudo-pet sat in the middle of the Thorn Ward area of effect and not the player who fired it.

    It affects all 'reflect' type abilities BTW - I first noticed it on my TR who uses Fey Thistle.
    Jenna Sunsoul - Justice Tankadin
    Aelar Hawkwind - Archer
    Karrin Feywinter - Mistress of Flame
    Errin Duskwalker - Executioner
    Darquess - Soulbinder
