Refinement - minor quality of life improvement to interface

I've been torn over the new Refining process. On the one hand, it's only cost me a few bank slots (since as soon as you start refining enchants, they need to be in different slots - bank space is more, not less, precious). On the other hand, it's incredibly fiddly. There is one simple change that would prevent me getting repetitive strain injury when refining - allow me to refine a whole stack of enchants instead of just 5.

This would be an amazing change, and I hope Cryptic can find it in their hearts to do this. It would save a lot of dead time.

I don't see this as viable. The issue may be unwieldy for some, but using stacks means some people will have to split theirs before and I can see this as being a pain for those that don't buy bulk to refine.

Personally though, I gave up on refinement as my luck is so poor as to fail 3 out of 4 tries consistently at 90% (with drastically more loss as the percentage drops lower). My costs were exceeding any gain for my enchants and I've resorted to outright purchases from AH.

Well I don't quite understand azlanfox's incoherent ramble, but I'm all for the suggestion of the OP. Lots of folk use 99 stacks to refine artifacts and rank 8-9-10s & weapon/armour enchants. I don't happen to be one of them (death to the bots!) but I still gather up significant numbers of rank 3-4 enchants when I do my dailies. It would be real nice to be able to put whole stacks into the refining window instead of a maximum of 5 enchants.

    +1.

First off, I completely agree with this. After opening 20 or 100 leadership boxes, I am covered in rank 2, 3 and 4 enchants. Only being able to use 5 at a time means it takes a while to burn them all and free up my inv space again.

On a side note, the refinement system takes up a lot more space than the old system...which was something they lauded the new system for as "saving inv space." Not in my experience.

Each time I have to upgrade an artefact to legendary or make a perfect enchant is just a pain... if I were able to put the whole stack in one single slot, click the refine button and then every enchant is converted to RP, that would be just perfect.

I agree with OP 100%! This is something that needs to be done! We should all show our support or something!

With four Level 20 Leadership toons and on-the-sly access to the Gateway all during my workday, I generate a HAMSTER-ton of Level 2/3/4 enchants even before I stumble across 'em on the battlefield. I went the get-your-own-guild route last fall so I have tons of storage space, but those stacks do add up. A sixth slot dedicated to stacks, or even a simple dump slot that takes any number of any type of refining resources, would be infinitely superior to the current five-slot system. Add a "Are you sure? Really really really sure?" button if they're uncomfortable with such a mass-refinement process.

This will never happen as the current drag & drop system is good for bots.
Script kiddos have no problems with this robotic repeating boring actions.

It is only the honest majority that suffers your problem.

Since the first day of the new system of refinement to many complaints and the main thing is that the system is not user friendly which is totally true.

It is time for the game developers think as players and not as Bots.

The change was aimed at those who use the system, rather than those that don't. I can accept that many Neverwinter players are not at home with Bayesian theory. But you'd have to demonstrate an inability to master splitting a stack is a common condition amongst those using the refinement system, for this to be a valid point.

Consider the maths: it is one operation to split a stack. It is up to twenty operations to utilise a full stack of 99 enchants.

Basic design principles are to make user processes as simple as possible. The current system does not achieve this, my proposal improves upon it significantly.

Agreed. I still remember when I bought some cheap stacks of lesser marks for artifacts. It would have been a lot quicker if I could have just put the whole stack in rather than five at a time.

Well I don't quite understand azlanfox's incoherent ramble.

I think he was thinking of the transformation part after its been refined

But I agree, there needs to be a better way to do it rather than 5 at a time. Im one of those people with tons of level 2&3 enchants from all of my profession choices.
