Small golden books

can anyone plz tell me what those little golden books are for that seem to drop from mob in HE's???
I see them all the time but can never pick one up.

    Do you happen to have a screenshot of them, or know what the exact name is? Gold icons are generally quest items. Sometimes, if you are teamed, you can see quest items drop for a quest you don't have, but that another party member does.

    They're from the Rangers skill (forget the name)....they mark thy foes, when killed the books drop. When the Ranger walks over them, the team gets hitpoints and other bonuses.

    To further add onto this. It's from the Ranged At-Will from the Pathfinder Paragon called "Hunter's Teamwork". When used, it marks an enemy with a golden purse on that enemy. Only one enemy can be marked at a time (per HR?). Once the enemy marked with the Golden Purse on his chest dies, there is a golden purse on the ground. Running over that will give you and your entire party a great deal of HP (I've gotten upwards to 3000 HP) and will also give you some Stamina and give you some extra Action Points.

    I'm not sure if you HAVE to be in the party of the HR to get the benefit or have to of at least dealt damage to the marked enemy. But none-the-less, that is what those purses are.
