Bugs of Lunging Strike

1) Some GF players take the advantage of Lunging Strike's bug that it lets them lunge onto the pillar in Hotnow domination.

2) Lunging Strike can currently be activated in the mid air. And that can't be working as intended because nobody should be able to "lunge" in the mid air.

It's actually a great tool and i use it to deal with casters, that are trying to get out of the line of sight and kill people from above. And hate to say it, but it is working as intended since it lunges you towards your target and one does not have to activate it in mid air, in order to get ontop of a pillar. Should i mention, that if i am fast enough i can even throw out another skill on lunging strike impact, even if i do not make it onto the pillar? I always make sure that i mark the casters that are standing on the pillars first, then i apply knight's challenge (that way they cannot hurt my team too badly anymore while i can block the incoming damage if it's needed) and when their head sticks out and they are in my line of sight they are dead in 1, maybe 2 hit(s). They are technically putting themselves into a tiny space where they have no chance of ever dodging an attack. It still puzzles me why some people hop onto the pillars at all, knowing that it is a death trap.

Besides, camping in any videogame, let it be a fps or an mmo is despised.

#edit: IF anything could be done about lunging strike, then it most likely should have it's attack range increased by at least 4-5 feet, because it spazzes out at max range too often and you land somewhere in the middle of the way to the original destination, that you actually should have went. They could also consider turning it into an actual teleport for an even better result.

This is not a bug. This is a nerf-cry. Lunging strike is working exactly as intended, and they are not going to tailor the world to suit one person.

I don't know what happens in PvP and really don't care, but it sounds like someone wants to go up there and shoot people who can't shoot back, and is unhappy that someone can follow him up there.

If you see someone abusing mechanics, you report it in game. You don't log false bug reports.

Come on guy. We already are underpowered as it is , what more can you ask for? What you want them to increase all our encounters by 10 secs base and reduce our DR by 20%? maybe that'll satisfy you sheesh.

soo by your logic that a player can't lunging strike in mid air, a rogue for example shouldnt be able to dodge roll in mid air? but its ok if a CW can teleport blink in mid air?

there's nothing wrong with lunging strike. I have had the max range issue myself though. Casting it, moves you forward then kicks you back to where you started and lunging strike is off cooldown again, slowing you down from catching up to the person.

CW's teleport and DC's slide are magical abilities so there is nothing wrong that they can be performed at anywhere.

Lunging Strike isn't anything lunging at all, clearly. It is more like a teleport. A true lunging should be something like GWF's sprint.

One can get hit on the way, to the target. If it was a teleport this wouldn't be the case. I wish it was an actual teleport because of the "glitch" that i mentioned above.

Also by the way, a Cleric's dodge isn't Magic, that would go against gods will+people can slide like that today, just saying. Lunging Strike should have nothing done to it, if anything it should be buffed so no damage is taken while using it or make it hit targets along the way.

A cleric holds up their holy symbol, and it emits a beam/ray of light that propels them... tell me how that isn't magic, again?

As for the lunge - there are some necessary breaks from reality, in order to make powers useful and effective. I mean, how can the lunge thing bother you, but being able to function perfectly well, even at 1 hp, doesn't? Being able to chug red beverages to heal is ok, but lunging through the air isn't? Really?
