Healers getting no loot on Epic Heroic Encounters

So, as a dedicated healer DC i am having huge amount of problems getting rewards in epic heroic encounter bosses (mainly remorhaz and beholder). Case in point, we just had a guildie spot beholder, formed a group and got there when beholder was around 90%, Using healing word, astral shield and sunburst i kept people alive in general, so after the fight ends, everyone in the party gets loot, i get 25 raw black ice.

I concur, I have noticed my DC also not picking up anything at the end of remorhaz

Might is not always right - the powerful sometimes forget that.

I've been having the same experience. DPS chars can get epic loot, DCs get almost nothing.

To be precise, CW and GWF get loot, the rest of the DPS end up struggling for the 'Mercy Purple'.

The only thing my HR has ever gotten from the epic encounters is 25 raw black ice, so it's not just DCs.

Wait, you're supposed to get loot in epic encounters? Not just raw black ice or enchantments?

    ... >.> That would explain a lot, since I'm another healing-focused DC.

Still, DCs are in a uniquely annoying situation. Other classes are asked to deal more damage to get the credit, as a healer, you have nothing to do when the group is at full hp, the competition with an uncontrollable and unspecified number of other healers over who gets the heal credit first is a really bad situation, the annoyance of another cleric putting an astral shield where you wanted to put yours, and thus not allowing you to get the heal-credit for the injured within is utterly silly. You should be trying to keep the group alive and functioning, not worrying about being able to rack up credit-numbers to qualify for loot.

Since the epic rewards are bound to character, I see no problems if every DC had a chance to get the epic drop whenever he or she participated, regardless of the numbers.

I actually got the epic black ice DC weapon on my HR, for me it's just the healer that keeps ending up with 25-150 black ice/lvl 5 black ice enchants, and no epics...

I definitely think that a lot of other healing-focused DC's can agree with me when I say that we like playing our DC's to help other people, because we like the shift in how we play - from damage-dealing to support. It's rather disheartening that the whole reason a good number of people play a DC is the contributing factor to why we can't win anything cool.

I would recommend dropping healing word for chains. I received my scepter from a beholder fight in dwarven valley just this morning, and i usually receive some kind of loot other than 25 ice doing most encounters.

Same here...no drops for me, and I play my DC 90% of the time - spent the whole of last weekend chasing HEs, but nothing...well, one purple hammerstone item drop - nothing else.

I have also noticed an increased number of DCs in the Remorhaz and Beholder encounters... not uncommon to get 3-4 overlapping blue circles now - maybe the other classes have gotten their main hands and gauntlets already, leaving just us?

Anyhow, as the chances of epic drops are said to depend partially on healing and damage, but not buffing/debuffing, the obvious thing to do is to stop buffing and debuffing - no divine glow, no hallowed ground, use vorpal instead of terror, no resurrecting fallen players - in other words, I may be forced to play an utterly selfish b*stard....something I really don't enjoy.
    Hoping for improvements...

I sometimes get some profession materials instead, but usually it is BI enchantments or 25 BI.

To quote what I said earlier....

This is what I did....stopped buffing/debuffing and got the DC mainhand on the second HE after that.

Edit: And a second follow-up ... two epic HEs later and I got the gauntlets too.

Seems there is no bug...just need to follow what the script wants you to do.
    Hoping for improvements...
