Remorhaz Hunt storyline confusion.

Ok, I am a little confused on the encounter "Remorhaz Hunt". Everywhere else, the objective is to kill Remorhazes. We have a daily for it, we have another heroic encounter for it. Then we've got this one. The objective seems to be "Stop the big mean giants from killing the poor, innocent, defenseless Remorhazes". Is there something I'm missing?

I think we're stopping the giants from capturing young Remorhazes, because they train them and use them for fighting us. But that's only my assumption.

We kill Remorhazes in that encounter too, so we're not trying to save them.

Lol yeah when I first ran that encounter in Preview I was like... huh? this one doesn't make sense.

And then suddenly the mission shifted to killing them, and I was really perplexed at that point going... errm what were we doing this for again?

I find it more confusing that one objective during the Remorhaz encounter is to mine black ice. "There's a giant monster that can swallow an adventurer party whole aafter melting their equipment by simply touching it and it even preys on giants and dragons* - let's ignore it and mine some black ice, it's not like we can find that one all over the place.."

Remember every creature in Icewind Dale is after black ice too.

Trust me following the script results in a better reward...however the smaller worms have to be killed too.

I thought about that too, but I watched the area for a little bit while waiting for enough people to show up and some Remorhazes would occasionally spawn which the giants would always kill.
