Why can't I buy another character slot?

I currently have 3 slots and have them all filled at the present. Not wanting to delete an advanced character I would like to open a few more slots but do not know how. I have been away from Neverwinter for quite some time but I still have zen in my bank. Could someone please explain how I go about opening up new character slots and tell me what is the max number?

Thank you for the help.

Log into a character, and buy it in the zen store. The option on the character select doesn't work.

Max number is 50 I believe.

Yes, you can buy character slots (in groups of 2) at the Zen shop. I too have 3 characters and one open slot (which I plan to save for a Dragon character [maybe in Module 4 - Tyranny of Dragons coming in August] ) if you started with 3 because you got an extra slot for buying a pack you can still buy 2 more (up to the 49 max.)

I Now have 2 open slots. Got the second one through Putting $5 into the game and getting the first time buyers pack as a reward.

Check out the rewards vendor in PE to see the other goodies it gives you.

That's a good point. if you've spent $5 in real money in Neverwinter so far you get the first time buyers pack that comes with an extra character slot, the War Dog (blue companion), respect token, and change of appearance token. I would spend the $5 just to get the rare companion, the rest is just icing on a delicious cake imho.

Remember that you need to withdraw the zen with one chara before spending it

. . . When logged in on a character, open up the Zen Market and then on the left click on Services. There-in is the item to unlock 2 character slots for 500 zen. Once purchased, you may need to log all the way out of the game (to the login screen) and then back in to see the character slots.

. . . Zen is account wide. Unless you mean withdraw it from the AD Exchange - still, once withdrawn from there, it is useable by any characters on the account. Astral Diamonds are character-specific however.

. . . Correct, but just to be clear so no one's confused over the foundry character slot: It's actually 51, which counts your Foundry Character that unlocks when you get to level 15 on any character. That one slot is reserved for the foundry character exclusively, even if you never use it. This character doesn't show up on the character select screen (and the slot doesn't show anywhere either) and is automatically logged into when entering the Foundry as an editor.

I ment that maybe he couldn t buy the slots because it was in the zen auction bank. To spend it, a specific character needs to be holding the zen. Or ar least i cannot use it directly from the bank.

Ah, yeah. It needs to be withdrawn from the Astral Diamond Exchange (the bank you're referring to) first.
