A suggestion for profound sets.

Hello all,

PvP glory grind is quite dull and frustrating business. And for me, sometimes, it's so exhausting in the evenings that I forget to look at what piece of armor I am buying ._. Like today I bought a saboteur helmet instead of scoundrel's one...**** icons look alike. It's so upsetting that I don't even want to bother with that profound stuff any more.

So my suggestion is, why don't you let us exchange our pieces of profound set with some extra glory fee and perhaps 1 more SoT per piece for other pieces of profound set? Not only would it solve the cases like my but also would allow PvPers experiment more with their builds.

Well, I can see you making two mistakes.

Firstly, you do not not grind in PvP. Either you fight for fun or you stay out of it. Coming into the matches with the wrong attitude gets you frustrated, you will go afk as soon as you seen your team losing or, worse, you get angry and start blaming and insulting your team. Having a bad attitude in PvP sucks hard for those who play it to have fun. So, please, keep this in mind and do not ruin the fun for others, and save yourself from any grinding, because you cannot do much with glory but to get PvP gear, which in return you should only be using to have fun and not to continue with further (or even endless) grinding.

Secondly, buying the wrong piece of item is a mistake, which happens to everyone now and then. The game does however not offer a refund option anywhere and there is no reason why it suddenly needs one when it has been part of the game's design from the start you were playing. Just because you were absent-minded when you clicked the button is not a good reason at all. It might well be a symptom of your grinding, too.

This is not meant as a flame. I know people like to get it wrong quickly, but you really need to avoid making mistakes more often and not ask for the game to change every time it happens. I am just being fair with you.

Know that you can salvage the PvP gear and get a nice amount of raw AD for it in return. You still have to wait a few more days until you can get the item you actually wanted, but eventually and once your set is complete will you be doing just that with all your glory points anyway. So just play for fun, do not grind, and you will not notice any grinding and can enjoy your complete set even more.
    Stay frosty.

IMO it should be taking more time to get it, its so easy the way it is. MMO's out there takes years to get best gear, when in NW enchants you can get max enchants instantly. So dont do this to Gear aswell, let it be the way it is or make it harder to get.

I should've forseen the type of replies like this....

First of all, I never AFK at camp fire and I only times I do is when there is noone but me left (5vs1) and the opposite team doesn't take 1vs1 challenge. I do suggest our team to stop pushing themselves hard when there is like 500 points gap but I never start sitting at camp fire without saying anything. Try not to ruin other players experience, right? Even if you don't like them...
And as f2pma already said TR PvP sets are quite essentional for rogues now. I mean not nessesary but must...for some certain situations...

Second, yeah, it's my mistake and I've acknowledged that and I don't really hope it will have effect on my situation. My point is to prevent it from happening to somebody else? Besides I don't see any good reason/argument NOT to.

And to be honest, it sounded even more offensive than if you were flaming. Really, a nice ammount of raw AD ? _) Pity the forums don't support *wickedsmileemoticons*. I used to love PvP and get a lot of fun from it when the game wasn't populated. Now I don't get as much fun and sometimes I hate it as I see/realized that sportsmen like PvPers are extincting.

It's all about time I contributed and the efforts I wasted, because I have an universary to plan in my head but got no space to memorize what item I need for my set...oh well though already said I don't care much. >_>

You cannot expect to get the best PvP gear without making an effort. Those who run around in full profound sets by now have been fighting just as hard and long as you to get it. They only did not make the mistake to click on the wrong icon. I know it is hard, but you lose and you learn. Loss has its meaning. For a PvPer should you know this better than most others and be able to appreciate it.

Perhaps you got the idea from the Trade of Blades where one can exchange the old Champion armor for pieces of the new Grim set. Have you not noticed that this exchange also comes with a loss? In case you have not then remember that the old Champion armor was the best PvP set one could get, but you cannot actually exchange it for the new best set, which is the Profound set.

You then get 8000 raw AD for a Profound helmet. This is not a million AD, which you will find to be a worthier payment for all your grinding, but I find 8k raw AD is quite a good amount considering you could get nothing at all for it.

Also, happy anniversary to who ever is being celebrated.
    Stay frosty.
