Hooray for creepy old men with blue nimbuses (Nimbii?) and useful split-stat bonuses. :)

Oh, I just noticed that it is posted in this thread but a standalone thread is much better for giving notice especially since the offer is very limited.

I just picked it up. His slow spell isn't too shabby at all. I wonder if this might help certain classes do Sharandar lairs without needing to group. I can see this companion being really useful.

Truedat, I only knew because someone mentioned it ingame despite viewing the forums regulary. I guess I need to pay more attention to that thread especially when it gets bumped :D

umm, according to the image of his powers list, he seems to be just a reskin of Wayward Wizard.

reskin or not, the wayward wizard is a common companion and the mystagogue is uncommon. account wide. for free.

    yes please.

a lot of people that are interested in promotions like this are collectors. not everything has to be functional for it to be desirable.

Would have preferred a reskin of a different companion since there is already an account wide green version of the Wayward Wizard, but it is what it is.

Thanks. I went ahead and grabbed it, I have a lot of alts so account wide companions are always good.
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.

True, unfortunately this companion is not part of the collection. At least I was unable to find him, and no notification showed up.

Promo companions aren't part of the collection system.

Shame.. I could have sworn previous ones were. Going over the list in my head, I realize the ones I was thinking of are all Cryptic/PWE promo's. Not 3rd party ones. Thanks for making a nub a little wiser :)

Cryptic/PWE promo companions aren't part of the collection system either.

I heard about it on the subreddit. I posted here and talked about it several times in game. Spread the word.

It does look that way, same pet with reskin... BUT higher level and better active bonus.

This one is worth upgrading. 105 Power and 105 Recovery are good bonuses.

. . . For this particular giveaway, you're giving it to GameSpot (a reputable gaming site).

. . . Regardless... Never use the same email on your MMO Accounts anywhere else! This is a sure-fire way of getting your account hacked if you give it out to the wrong web site! What I do is I have specific emails ONLY for MMOs and other super personal stuff. I then have a "Community" email that I use to sign up on Community type sites, like this promotion's, and MMORPG, IGN, etc. I then have a spam account that I use if I am unsure about the safety of a site. I also have other emails for various things.

. . . Gmail will let you make as many personal and business email accounts you want, for free. As well as allow you to link them together. I suggest Gmail for anything because unlike Yahoo and some other emails, Gmail has had the least issues getting important mail (like Account Guard emails). Yahoo has been notorious for eating such mails.

. . . Also, just to be safe, never use the same password anywhere! Always use different passwords with uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols if possible. Keep a rolodex of your passwords, don't store them in a document file on your computer!

. . . Indeed. Regardless if they are a part of a collection or not, I still enjoy collecting all Companions, Mounts, and Transmutes. The companion giveaways have caused me to buy companion idle slots a few times on several characters... so even though they are giveaways, they entice players (like me) to spend Zen. Which is perfectly fine with me! :)
