1) We cannot select a bunch (Or all) messages for deletion, have to delete them one by one, gets tiresome.
2) There is no "Sent" tab, so you can see what you've sent to X person, and if it indeed, was sent. (Some people sent P.Vorpals to the wrong person, this "Sent" tab would make them see who that P.Vorp went to).
Might want to look into it admins.

One of the many Control Wizards that misses Shard Of The Endless Avalanche. RIP Shard (Beta-Mod3)
Yep, the ingame mail needs a complete overhaul, I hope that's something they will work after Mod3 (I didn't read anything about it and it's probably not planned for Mod3).
The in-game mail system is a simple add-on for convenience only. It's not designed or intended to work like a true, dedicated email system. Other than the "new message becomes selected" bug, it's really fine as it is. Though they really do need to fix that bug.

It's not an "add-on for convenience only", since it is essential to the AH. As long as you need to redeem every single item (or failed bid) on a separate mail, it NEEDS an overhaul. Desperately so. After buying 200 alchemists and 80 other assets (all non stackable), I wasted half an evening collecting them and clearing my mailbox.
If you add direct direct AH trade (items are deposited in your inventory) and an account bank (for account bound item swapping), then it may be considered an add on and left as is.

I'm referring to the Cryptic system (Neverwinter is the newest, so it incorporates much from the older games). If you don't want to call it an add-on, that's fine. In either case it is minor feature and meant to be. Hence, robustness is not necessarily something that was ever really planned into it.
I'd love if they beefed it up with all these usability features. But only after they fix all the current bugs and balance in the game first. I'm not kerboshing the idea. Just saying I would;t hold my breath for these kind of features to come our way too soon.
I don't have experience with enough MMOs to know, but.... has any MMO's mail system ever been up to the demands of Ultra High Volume Auction Broker-type players? I know that auction nuts in WoW used all sorts of mods to automate their mail & auction postings. And the mail systems in the other games I've played were similarly in features to this game's. (hmm. you know, I'd bet EVE's mail system is that overbuilt. Because it's EVE.)
Most MMO mail systems don't seem to have been designed with the "fringe" users in mind - the hardcore brokers who buy & sell hundreds of items a day, or people like the STO nutcases who were storing thousands of items in attachments (before they put in the current limits).

Most MMOs I've tried in the last years did actually have a "dedicated" interface for collecting items (it was integrated into the AH interface), so whether the mail system was versatile or not, it didn't really matter...
Some of the issues might not be issues on Neverwinter's end though, they might be problems on the backend server that handles the mail across all Cryptic games (aka the chat server). As such their might be limitations forced on the functionality for the Neverwinter UI by the backend system itself that won't go away unless the devs working on the backend code update it.

And a way to select multiple recipients of a message would be good.

If you have suggestions, by all means share them but to say it's "Lacking" is unfair. They are doing a great job.
I like the Cryptic mail system and hope we all can be more thankful it's not like DDO's.
Atlantica Online had a pretty neat mail system.
