Does it make sense to put Eldritch enchantments on these Augment companions which give an added % of pets ratings to the player or not ?

I put 2 eldritch on mine and not sure if I should have any on

No. The Ioun Stones already give you 100% of their stats. Use enchantments that boost an area you are weak in.

OP, there is a point at which the eldritch enchant *does* provide a better return on the stats that the stone gives you, but a lot relies upon what other runes, gear, and enchants you have slotted in said stone. You'd have to check with someone whose better at crunching the numbers than I...

Using Rank 6s and Grand items you break even using an Eldritch item.

Grand Somebody's Item of Something is 150 in three stats, so 450. Add a rank 6 (150pts) and you have a total of 600 pts. Multiply that by three and you have 1800. Add 300 more for two rank 6 runes in the offense slots for a total of 2100. A rank 6 Eldritch is +7%, so that's 147pts instead of 150.

Using the same items with Rank 7s, you get 450+185 per item so 635. Multiply by 3 and you have 1905. Add 185x2=370 for a total of 2275. Multiply that by 7.5% for a rank 7 Eldritch and you get 170, so at this point you're losing 15pts of stats.

Scaling down, with rank 5s you'll end up with 117 for an Eldritch and 120 for another rune. Obviously, using different ranks or other gear on the stone will affect the number slightly. So for pure stat purposes it's not going to give you more. However, the reason people do it is to gain more offensive stats rather than the otherwise obligatory defensive stat since the game favors offense over defense past a certain level of gear. This is especially true when everything is softcapped and only Power is going to be useful.

Eldritch stones give a percentage of the total stats on the Ioun Stone.

As such they do give better bonuses after a point. It is not that it allows you to get more offensive stats. It does grant more points than other enchantments depending on what gear you have on your Ioun Stone and what rank the enchantment is.

You really have to do the math to see if you are at that point though.

You can also put enchants in the items the stone has too which should get added to the total stats.

I have read somewhere, that it only gives percents from BASE companion stats, which means it doesn't include gear, enchants and runes that you have equipped your companion with.

Not true - Eldritch in defense slot gives a percentage of all the stone's stats, base stats and gear stats and rune stats and enchant stats combined.

Yep, last time I saw a post where someone showed their results this was what they found. Haven't seen any confirmation recently though.

I did a quick check a few weeks back and Eldritch Runestones still give a percentage of the total stats.

The extra stats are added but don't show up on the companion stats listing. You can check by adding up the numbers with and without the stone summoned.

They won't show up on the companion.

Eldritch stones give the summoner a percentage of the companion's stats.
In other words it doesn't increase the stones stats, it increases your stats based on a percentage of the Ioun Stone's total stats.

It's usually best to get a stone with 3 offense slots instead of Allure. They require 500k more in upgrade but ultimately are much better.

Debatable as with a high level Eldritch Runestones you will get more stats overall from an Allure. For me it is the active bonus that I feel can be more significant.

I guess it would depend if you want different stats in each slot, or are stacking just a couple stats. more offense slots means you could put a different stat in each slot. if you JUST wanted to stack power, eldritch 6+ in defensive slots and power in any offensive slots would be better.

The gear can easily take care of that if you want multiple stats.
