First Artrifact not received :(

  You probably read it wrong and got confused with someone else that opened a lockbox and got an artifact from it. Nowhere in this game will the System Notify say that you have obtained an artifact except when opening lockboxes that give items of Epic or greater quality. Even though you can get an artifact in skirmishes (extremely low chance) you will not receive a message similar to what you just saw.
  Sorry to get your hopes up though.

  What may have happened is as follows: A person, with the same character name as your's got an artifact from a lockbox, in exactly the same moment you opened the skirmish chest.

  Thanks for your replies.
  The notify was yellow in the chatbox not the glaring orange oversized font of the lootbox notifications center screen. No name was indicated. My character name is Gossamer Glowlimb.
  It was immediately followed by a System Notify message that the artifact could be refined and gave "powers" (paraphrased)
  
  I think the problem might be that my internet crashed out seconds later and I have just gotten back on line now. Looks like I missed the boat
