This is something I do when I'm playing SCA. I'm always looking for the most efficient way to use my dice.
There's no reward for what I came up with but if nothing else it helps you check how efficient your various companions are in various encounters.
When you've finished a counter, give points for every die you haven't used.
White Dice: 2 points each.
Power Dice: 3 points each.
So two white dice score more points than a single power die, making it more valuable to keep the white dice when safe to do so. I don't ever bother about saving dice if it might compromise an encounter since there's no reward. This is just a little mini game I play within SCA.
My high score is 10.
Usually I get between 6 and 9, if its a squeaker, between 0 and 4.
It would be quite cool if the game rewarded you for being sparing with dice but if nothing else it helps you check how useful your companions are in different types of encounters.

10 would be the maximum for a Tier 6 dungeon, since you always need an equivalent of 9 dice to finish, only one Thayan encounter needs 10 dice, the name of which escapes me at the moment. It requires 3 Perception and 21 Combat points.
Amusing, but ties in with something I have been casually testing for a while.
I have been trying to notice if there is a ratio of dice used to rewards given. It "seems" that rewards go up with less dice used. But that is just a casual observation that I have observed. Note I normally do t2 with only occasional t3 adventures.

It's the Dread Warrior of Thay, the only SCA-Enemy with 10 equivalent dice needed.

Got a feeling its in encounters where there is only one layer to work through and each power die maxxes out with exactly the right combo of results.
