Hello Guys
I want to know some theory about, fragments and the artifacts in MC.
1- Some said if we kill the competing party it increase the changes of getting an epic loot;
2- Some said we can get the fragments from the Chest when DD events is running;
3- Running with players who have the Weaponsmiting / Artficing at Lv. 20;
Are these rumors real or just some false rumors?
I want to know this because i'm getting tired of running MC just to get 1 fragment.

All 3 are almost certainly false. If 2 was true, it almost certainly would have been discussed on the forums by now.

2 and 3 are definitely false, and from my experience 1 is false too, but that's something that haven't been proved and it's hard to disprove either, because if a fragment drops from Malabog after you killed the competing party some will say it's becuase you killed them, even though it could have dropped w/o killing them too.
Like the others have said 2 & 3 are both false and one is a pretty popular rumor amongst my guild but every time I've killed the competing adventuring party there hasn't been a purple loot drop (EVER)
I'd like to know where you "heard" these rumors because all 3 are false like the posters above said

I am 99.99% sure both two and three are false.
The first one was a rumor I heard ages ago but if there's any truth to the rumor it is not enough of a difference to outweigh the additional time spent killing them. In fact after doing about twenty to thirty runs killing the competing adventuring party my guild stopped caring. If there was any difference we didn't see it, you still get the drop without killing them and it saves a lot of time.
We do still kill them but we do so for the three skill nodes more so than the rumored effect it has on the boss drops.
Apparently I'm not allowed to make jokes. What's the point on contributing to the forum if you're trying to make it so monotone?
Anyway trolls may have made it up, but also people like to find answers to replicate something they don't understand, ie finding out why a fragment dropped this time rather than other times. If you defeated the adventuring party people could wrongly associate it with that, and if they shared that tip, since there's a large amount of players, it would 'work' for some of them making some people actually believe it.
There is ~10% chance that a boss will drop one of those. Mostly they drop blue unidentified or blue redcap items.
A full MC run without epics dropping is a common thing. Sometimes you can have few full runs IN A ROW with no epics dropping.
I have seen fragments drop few times from Malabog (2nd boss), all of those times we haven't had the competing party killed.
Icon drops from fulminorax not malabog. Not sure about the HR OH. MC isn't really a dungeon I like doing. Broken shadows making the map lag uncontrollably (even with high end cards, not sure if it applies to nvidia cards though) unless you lower shadow levels and blue unrewarding HAMSTER isn't really my idea of fun.
Ok, 2nd and 3rd are false and all of the offhand can drop from all bosses, i ve seen all offhands in all bosses.
The first one is something i discovered a couple weeks ago, never heard the rumour before and was pugging a MC run and someone said it, we did it and since then all my MC pugs do it (its 2,3 minutes tops) since then ive done 9-10 pug runs and got 4 fragment-3 offhands drops, the sample size is ridiculously small to make a judgement, but i dig it and will continue killing those thieves!
I can assure you i have seen the icon drop from Malabog more than a few times (i am gonna make a screenshot next time).
From the first boss i have never seen drop anything other than shield or talisman.
And the last boss i am not doing anymore, but i remember it for sure droping the gwf knot and the hr blades (maybe some other offhands too, can't remember).
I have NEVER seen a TR parrying blade (and i am TR).
This is from my experience in MC (~300 boss kills).

Though gamepedia says they share the loot table, that is not true.
The actual drops are this:
1st boss: GF, CW
2nd boss: DC, TR
3rd boss: GWF, HR

xD sorry, I've been playing with people's heads whenever i pug MC. this is not true!

- JailBreak (in development)

1st boss: GF OH, HR OH, CW OH
2nd boss: TR OH, various fragments, emblem, fomorian symbol (with skulls)
3rd boss: DC OH, GWF OH, HR OH
1st boss: blue junk
2nd boss: blue junk
3rd boss: blue junk
chest: junk belt
A very unrewarding dungeon with tons of lag.
This. I don't bother trying MC anymore.
