Anybody went through anything similar?
I enter the battle and the team seems a bit unbalanced with myself 2 TRs and 2 HRs. Some people might say I'm overgeared for pugging(14.2k) but to me it seems just fine, some of the team is quite "entry level" with 1 TR having 6.7kGS and 1 HR at 9.2k while others are around 10.5kish(which is fine for pugging imo).
Before the battle starts I call out the name of the "entry" TR and ask him kindly to capture 1 while the rest of the team should proceed to 2 with me. To which I get a very swift "shatap nub lol" reply by the entry TR and I begin to understand that this battle might be very one-sided.
The gate opens and I rush to the middle and realise that all 4 of my team mates had gone to 1. It is too late to turn back so I proceed to middle base seeing 3 reds approaching. At this point i'm hoping that the enemy team is also entry level and I will occupy them long enough to keep them from gaining points on 2, even if they take me down quick enough I will give enough time for my team to arrive and proceed contesting. 1 of the 3 reds is a rogue and 1 is a very entry level wizard and has about 30% Hp left after my initial combo so they are not fighting me directly, the 3d red is a cleric and seems very tanky and not entry level at all.
After killing the 20% CW I get on cleric and another red arrives- a GWF but not too overgeared, he launches at me but I'm in unstoppable and also pop the skull and right back at 60% HP. So now I'm 60% fighting 3 players. This goes on for a good 1-1.5 minutes at which point I start running towards their base to draw them further and keep wondering what is keeping my team so preoccupied.
I see that our base is contested and quickly press X to check the class of the 5th red... a TR.. I'm assuming a geared perm stealth, meanwhile my team has already managed 5 deaths jointly. There is a lot of cussing by the entry level TR in the group chat and other teammates are also getting frustrated. The entry HR is telling the entry TR that he is a nub and that he will find him outside of the game and kill him... I ask them to concentrate on the game, leave our home base and pressure middle as there is just the DC left there atm.
I contest their base for about 2-3 minutes and even kill their TR and GWF but the GWF/TR rezd and together with the wizard put me down. When I die the entry level rogue proclaims "GWF is a loser nub" and leaves the party. The entry HR follows the suit a second later and lastly the 2nd TR writes:"u nab cudant hold 2 base? nab..." and leaves
Later when fighting 1v1 with the TR who contested our base I found out he is in fact a regular non-perm SB/ItC/IS with about 13k GS who simply jumps around before being killed.
This(apart form frustrating me) made me conclude several things: at this point in pug pvp there is a certain degree of reliance of newer players on older players and a certain degree of reliance by a team on GWF. And it seems that average entry pvper is very ego-centric and overestimates his abilities.
Im still not 60 but I understand what you saying since I do alot of domination at 59 bracket. I dont understand why those people have to all go to point 1 and leave other team to get point 2 and have head start on us even if you tell them go point 2 and one go 1 yet no one listen
What I wish to see in matchmaking is not put solo players vs groups there is no doubt a group will dominate a random 5 people and if I was in that group I wouldnt want to go against weaklings no fun if there is no challenge
People tend to do this alot in the solo queue pugs. Mainly there for Glory and to finish pvp dailies, not wins. Capping the home base = 300 more points = more glory

The problem with that logic is this: losing = a bit less than half glory.
If I join a pug were all of my team mates run to base I just make my way to enemies base, I ride up to the 1 player capping their base and give them a chance to make a run for it, once they realize I'm there and begin to attack me, I kill him, his team mates come, I usually kill 1-2 of them or if I'm unable to I survive long enough for my team mates who finished capping their base are now zerging their way toward middle to whoever the opposing team left there, more often than not its game over at that point.
Yeah for some reason, in this game, there is a lot of lack of understanding on pvp strategy. I'm not taking away from the good players, rather it's a higher percentage who seem to fall in the first category.
And anyone who uses the term ****, nub, or any of its variants is an idiot.

Everyone gets matches like these from time to time, which is why matchmaking should make things a tad better for everyone since people with the same skill level should be matched against each other. I personally can't wait.
This is just how I see it, but it's not exactly the GWF's whom the team is relying on per se, but rather people seem to LOVE relying on other people in PVP. They build their characters in a way that cannot handle multiple enemies at the same time (which is practically a common scenario in PVP), we'll almost always get more than 1 player in our faces while we're alone. This is why some PVP-ers will always find someone to blame when things don't go well for them. GWF's, in particular, are able to carry teams because of how... well, because they're GWF's. Really tanky, hits hard, very little weaknesses. The class with possibly the most survival capabilities in the game once reaching a certain degree of gearing up.
Another way we can conclude your experience is that a vast majority of PUG PVP-ers have no real idea how to PVP, or have little to no idea how to build their avatars for PVP. Most players in the game do not use the forums, meaning more and more are less informed about the many tips and tricks they can pick up in here; which leads to the increasing decline of competitive PVP players you find in PUGs. I personally dislike the sort of people you played with in your match. Well, their defeatist quitter mindsets should be punished by the leaver penalty, which is something I personally am looking forward to as well despite the implications it will have on the PMvsPM community. I'm pretty sure the devs will come up with something that will allow the PM players to find their opponents.

That is true but let me tell about a few other experiences I had while pugging. Myself and a Bloodthirsty CW(about 15k, my buddy) were in a match with 3 entry level players with an average GS of 8k. The enemy team was medium level I would say about 10-11k each and some(not vast) pvp experience. After the initial rush the entry players got lazy and simply stood on our homebase and only came when the points were 3/4 captured. They didn't get killed that much mostly thank to CWs incredible harassing skills(he had 2 enemies chase him around the map almost all the time while he took them out gradually) and me contesting their homebase and literally facetanking 2-3 enemies. Little into the match one red quit and my CW buddy got disconnected so he couldn't go back in. My team was trying to actively help but then as the tide was very much in our favour they resumed just being inactive on 1. I was reeeeeally struggling against 4 enemies and had to leave 3 and harass them but i kept them around 3 and we still had 2 bases. I asked for support on group chat but my team was like dead flies then 1 of them wrote:"ur GWF-u can win this alone". And this brings me to my point- MAYBE I CAN win it alone(highly unlikely tho), but I do NOT WANT to do it, because it isn't 1vs team it's team vs team. They stayed on the middle base mostly... killing an odd enemy riding through. For me the game took so much effort I was literally shaking from the amount of energy and could hear my heart beat after the game was over.
When everything is even, the one team with the worse pug always lose. Fact.
And those people 100% are the ones that never listen. If you TRY too hard in persuading them all u get is STFU just like what happen to OP. So what u can do is mute them, remember their handle, next time if they are on your team again just quit.

GWF is the best hunter-seeker class we have (better than rangers :P). If you wanna inflict pain&frustration on people, call a (good) GWF. They will find you, prone you, and send you to respawn.
And when you help pugs, and they insult you... repeatedly... what else remains to be done. At least they should respect the guy that can carry them to victory and support him, but naw, they would rather call names and quit.

When I encounter players like that, I leave. After all, it's not me who needs glory for an artifact or PvP gear. If you act like a ******bag towards your own team...don't expect to have a team for long.

This. A team is only about as strong as its weakest link. When one person can't perform or contribute, they will simply pull the team down. Skill-based matchmaking should fix this issue, as the players that perform should be matched against equally competitive players.

I guess this is what most people will do when given orders by someone to whom they acknowledge no quality to be their leader.
Ipwnu1 you're giving a most detailed report ofhow you kept running and thinking and fighting, but what is the mere result?
-) It took your team more time to take B1 because they were 4 on them instead of 5
-) You did not take B2
-) You did not take B3
Of course the TR and HR left when they saw B2 and B3 red, and their B1 being contested. Because of you they had no hope to even reach the 100 or 150 points needed to get any glory. Even worse, because of you they took a penalty for leaving early.
Next time you ruin a PvP session, take a moment to think about your own actions before rushing to the forum.
Trying to pvp as a new 60 against premade epic geared players sucks!
EDIT: There also needs to be a diminishing return on CCs, sometime you're 100 -0 in a matter of seconds that should not exist... A player should not ever be 100-0 without having been able to use any ability!

Oh noes! I think I better l2p Sarcasm-o-tron is going crazy.
On a serious note tho, and maybe somebody can tell me if im wrong on this one but does the cap arrow run at the same speed if there is 3 or more players at a base? I noticed that and was wondering for a while now.

I understand that but I think u can reach 8.5k-9k with AH blues if not mistaken. They usually go for about 100 AD/piece and u can literally find any combination u want. By that time it is also reasonable to expect them to have at the very least r4/5 enchantments and 1 artifact. Artifact+AH blues+r4/5s would take them about 30minutes of game time and maybe 10k AD(which they would have by level 60). No excuses for entering domination at anything sub 8k GS. Those people r just not serious, so why do they get so serious when they lose?

SENT IV GWF - PVP
Then the next time you find them in enemy team, proceed to focus them down GWF style, so they cry to their mommies for help.
Butters TR PVP

Because we like to PvP. A good long fight, win or lose, is our reward.
