Launcher not working

I found this article a few days ago. I says wow I hope that don't happen to me, while guess what.........it did happen to me too. The cryptic launcher DON"T WORK AT ALL. No matter what I do the launcher won't work. I tried so many different things to get it too work and nothing, zero, zilch, nada. It tries to update the launcher up to 5 times and then gives a internet connection error. Which there is NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CONNECTION. I know this because I do play other games and they work 100%

    First of all, please do not avoid the censor. It is there for a reason.

    Secondly, without giving information about your system there is no way to troubleshoot what could cause this issue whatsoever. Whenever you report a bug or need troubleshooting, especially one that is not within the game itself, you should always supply your computer specs:

    -Operating System
    -Processor
    -Graphics Card
    -Ram
    -Other running applications


    Additionally the Neverwinter Forums are not a means to get support. The Community Team can do basic troubleshooting and relay bugs such as this one to the developers but our ability to assist in problems is fairly limited. Yourself and the person who wrote that article should have filed a Support Ticket (with your system specs) in order to get assistance with this matter.

    Alternatively you may also post a thread on the PWE Tech Support Forums.

    I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. This is the first time I have ever heard of such a bug but you will need to contact support with additional information to get this issue resolved.

    First guess from your description, a port is being blocked by a firewall. But need a lot more details to be sure as it easily could be something else.

    -Operating System WIN 7 PRO 64 bit
    -Processor AMD Phenom 2 965 quadcore
    -Graphics Card ATI R7870 dual card PCIe (got both cards installed)
    -Ram 16 gigs of ram
    -Other running applications ARC, AVG, Steam, Teamspeak

    I put Steam on then ARC hit play then I get a Cryptic Launcher updating message, it tries 5 times, then gives a internet connection error and then finally it quits. My internet connection is working 100% and I know this because ALL my other games work. When I try ANY game that uses the Cryptic launcher I get this stupid error <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>.

    AVG free or the paid for version, the paid for version has a built in firewall.

    To ensure that you can download and play the game successfully, we recommend that the following outbound ports are configured to be open:

    IP range: 208.95.184.0/22
    Ports: TCP/7000-7500

    There is no need to forward inbound connections; only outbound connections need to be configured.
