Lagg :our side ?(players) or your side (game side)
YEs..again this booring and old constant issue:the Lagg.
But something makes me wonder, if they didint fix lagg , maybe they (devs/or whos in charge) , maybe they have nothing to fix ??
Because this issue is like since forever ( i must admit...recently..even more lagg)...and since no fix. , maybe nothing to fix.
So maybe Is our fault ??we are the real laggers ??not the server ??
My Ping is like 8-9 / Download speed like 150 Mb/
My net sucks ??
I tryed Many programs like Lentrix ( in theory lagg fixer)..game boosters..whatever ...But nothing works.
Problem with the lagg is that at early stage it's just delayng ur skills ( wich breaks combos etc)...But there's some lagg's that makes u teleport/ Hit but dont hit..Like see that ur hiting..but u need cast again same hit).
I played few Retail games, even privates.
The Lagg type that i face here..i mostly see in the private servers ( weak Server/router /mother server etc...since private..is corrupted/lacking files).
SO dunno..this Server is a private one then ?? Because under no reason should a Retail server ( original) should lagg so tremendesly.
SO is it just Me ??bad connection ?
Me ( and prehaps others) have this lagg issue ( my usual ping is 200-300..after 210 gets Very bad...300 unplayable)
I even have friends that have worste..700 +...So maybe im the lucky one ???And i have *decent*lagg ?
But this decent lagg..made me quit some classes that are so lagg depended (mainly rogue).
Hi bluedarky ( nice name by the way).
Dunno , maybe ur right..it can be *enviromental* issue..like our location.
But dunno why ..but on other games i dont lagg like this.

Aww Todes...
Well the issue could be closer to Cryptic's end but still out of their jurisdiction, your best bet would be to open the command prompt and run tracert patchserver.crypticstudios.com to see if you can find out where the issue is.
Lagg was pretty much fixed for awhile (at least for me) and popped back up again when this latest cta went live. Storming The Keep is easily the most laggy skirmish period. It is a little surprising they would pick such a lag fest for a CTA. So I think that is what it is. It makes the game unplayable sometimes and the cta its self I have lagged out/dc'd a few times on now, a first for me.
Try the steps outlined in this thread. However, lag can be attributed to a laundry list of factors, many of which are outside the immediate control of either Cryptic/PWE or the user.

The lag problems with Neverwinter are fairly consistent. It just happens to affect people in different areas of the world on different days of the week it seems. The providers that Cryptic uses are just plain lousy. It's likely router issues downstream which their provider uses.
I've never had so many latency issues in an MMO where one day things are just fine and the next the game is nearly unplayable.
If it is not at Cryptic's end or at your end. Then it is somewhere in between and you and cryptic have no control. I have no lag caused the route to the servers, the only lag I have experienced was when my computer would decided to run a virus scan or update my anti virus while I'm playing.

yes and by doing simple trace route testing, you can determine that. but making these blind claims in the forums with no proof just comes off as a poor attempt to slam the company and their choice in network providers.
there is a reason for the rubberbanding thread and those tests... if a problem does lie on the side of PWE or their internet provider, they can pinpoint it and correct it. when there is a problematic node in the network that would cause such issues, you'll have more than a few users reporting it and all at once rather than sporadically.
as lews stated, there are many different reasons why rubberbanding may be occurring. your internet provider could be experiencing issues or high bandwidth usage or a major hub could also be experiencing issues. just trying to claim that the issue is with PWE is pointless and it won't do anything to resolve the issue if you can't help them with proof that it is.

Ahh yes, and this is why I am currently experiencing no lag in any other MMO at the moment. Meanwhile several others in my guild are also suffering from the same server not responding and rubber banding issues and they even live in different states.
I'll be sure to submit a trace route tonight when/if it starts happening again. The point still remains that I've never had such connectivity issues with any sub-based MMO. I guess you get what you pay for.
look I'm even getting it in CO. and that is usually lag free for me.

Hell, the UK once had massive lag to the CoX servers in Germany because of a routing centre being down in Egypt.
