Hi y'all
I have a level 60 GF dwarf
He has the water/raven/lantern artifacts
Full regent gear and lilvmbryuan sword and grand regent shield
Tact speced
Greater flame enchant / normal eleven enchant
GS 13.5 k
So in the last week I have ran multiple MC runs with my guild
During this time I feel like the poor guy who can do much
One run I was last guy on boss dragon and felt like I hit with a wet noodle and die in a hopeless attempt to kill the dragon with half a red block left. So switch to more dps skills on next run and had hard time keeping agro
So I hate to be the weak link
I have seen the changes coming from the test server but don't think they are enough
I have invest heavy in this guy and hate to move to another class
I have considered a rogue instead of my GF
Is he worth staying with and just suck it up or should I jump ship early and start fresh?

spec your gf for pvp and roll a cw for pve.i out dps tr with 13gs with my 5 gs cw while lvling lol.
just make a cw you want regret it if u want to pve.
Go cw or gwf. They are and will remain the most needed class in dungeon for a really long time. It has been like this when GF gets the stalwart nerf. And with higher stat the players can get. CW and GWF simply dominate and out classed the rest. DC is on longer a 100% needed member.
Its a game and u better ask yourself what u wanna play the most...
You are so right
My GF is fun to play
Thanks for clearing the fog
Plus if they can redesign the bulwark set, imagine what they will do to the CW and GWF classes to create balance across the classes

Just don't worry about it, I love my GF and I play her and she rocks, but even with conq spec they don't do a ton of damage. You can normally tank and hold aggro like a champ, so it makes the fight easier for the team.
The thing in fulminorax has random aggro, so GF is not as wonderful in that fight.
Still do it sometimes for the fun of it.
But as somone who has all six classes, i make 10X AD with CW moreso than any other class. As long as dungeons throw us mountains of trash, CW will be most practical class.

Right on, buddy! Good call. I love my GF, even if he doesn't feel like a tank.

not exactly.
During phase 1 he has normal aggro rules.
During phase 2 & 3 he will stick to the first person to enter his aggro table (ie by dealing damage or healing someone) for the entirety of that phase, though he will follow his actual temp aggro table (spike dmg, basically whoever hits him the hardest in the last few seconds) when choosing a target for his targeted (circle) breath weapon attack.
I tank him fine during all 3 phases, the key is to stand where you know he's going to land and spam click "Threatening Rush". the moment he materializes and is targetable you have to be the first one to hit him. Admittedly this is easier for a GWF than a GF because sometimes his landing animation will push you back out of range of TR and I usually pop unstoppable (for the self heal aggro) and sprint back into TR range before he becomes targetable.
Some people swear that this fight is random aggro and that I just get lucky. I must get lucky 90% of the time over 100+ MC runs though.
I play mine since open beta and in fact its the only lvl 60 i have in my account ...and i have 3 other classes...
Its pointless to start a new class just because u havent gotten any buffs in the last patch ,or game does not support your playstyle.
GF class might not shine much right now, buts its hellofafun to play it and after 7 months im still pretty happy while playing it
I have many friends that gave up on their GF's simple cuz GWF got huge buff and now.
Also alot of people that roll multiple classes are bad with all of them, rather then focusing on one...
Spend five dollars and buy two more character slots. It's the only, and best, money I've spent on Neverwinter.
You'll be level 60 on both your new characters within a week or two. No sweat.
You don't even really need to spend $5. If you buy zen through the zen -> ad exchange, it only costs 175k AD @350 per, which is decently easy to obtain within a decent amount of dungeon farming if nothing else.
I have extensively played all the current NWO classes and if you count PnP and DDO; then I have really, really played all of the classes!!
I like them all; save for the CW @ lower levels soloing. The GF is a solid class and more conventional and traditional than all the rest. Technically the GF is an old school cavalier. It's attack and defense ratings are good. It's paragon path is fundamentally decent and they look by far the best visually, and have that distinctive dungeons and dragons feel about them. If I were you I would play them all and get a feel for each variances that the classes offer.
My class choices are as follows...
1- paladin
2- mage or CW
3- cavalier or GF
4- druid
5- rogue or TR
6- ranger
7- cleric
8- barbarian
9- bard
10- fighter
1000- monk(can't stand this class for some reason)

I am not a fan of hitting like a noodle, so i'd consider respec and gear to conq. I will have to post my spec on here at some point.
TR being the dev's favourite is not a new, sudden thing, it is like this since open beta. Neither new is the fact that, while NWO has all the usual classes dps, tank, cc, heal), its dungeon mechanics are not usual and don't require all these classes to be present.
It all depends on you. Play the way you like and the class you like, or play a NWO-efficient class and become yet another TR.

There is some truth to this. The problem is, some classes can not really be played very well. I'm looking especially at the GF here, since its quite slow and the extra damage resistance it has is not only negated by its low damage, its a horrible disadvantage thanks to most of the metagame. For farming or solo play the gf is a sturdy little HAMSTER, but a HAMSTER. Most content can be cleared faster and easier with pretty much every other class. I would not recommend playing a GF to a new player unless that player has a static group - otherwise it will be slow and frustrating.
