Epic Spellplagues Caverns unrewarding DD chest and loot.

Hi everyone, I had been running Epic Spellplague Caverns lately, with hopes of getting a High Vizier's cap for my CW. But it seems that epic T2 helm drops seem scarce as of late. It is always the Insignia of Sovereignty or the Belt of Aboleth along with maybe a T2 ring. Even with the Dungeon Delve event the DD chest seems to always hand out a T1 ring or belt. Is the loot table of Epic Spellplague bugged or is are the drops scarce due to some market controlling reason? Can anyone shed a light on this matter?

    Probably scarce. You're better off hoping for it from the DD chest (1/10 chance I think). If I didn't get it from the chest I'd be tempted to sell the one that dropped and try more times since it's worth a lot of AD for the unbound one.

    Bad drop rate, tell me about it. I have done 9 Frozen heart and 5 PK and still have to see a T2 set piece!!!

    I've never seen a T2 gear drop from the SP chest tbh. I bought my HV cap after ~20ish runs. SP doesn't seem to have great returns on the boss drops either, I see T2 set drops much more often from Karru/FH/ToS.

    The chance to get a T2 armor piece from the chest is 10%. Don't give up and you'll eventually get it. I had to run SP 12 times to get the HV cap for one of my CWs :(

    Bad luck. I've been trying to get a new T2 set for my CW this week (the shadow weaver one, already had HV), got my loot after the second run. Try harder, hats are there. And some rings are worth a decent amount of ADs, if you don't get exactly what you want. SP is the most profitable T2 dungeon (not counting CN+ ones).

    Even if you're not a hardcore player you should get a complete T2 set with ancient jewelry if you play 3-4 days a week for two months at most. It's definitely not that bad and could hardly be called a grind. NW is pretty generous with loots, most of the times.

    I feel your pain. I was lucky enough to get my SP piece on either my 1st or 2nd run, but my gloves from Karru have not been as kind. I have now run Karru over 50 times and have still not gotten my gloves from the end chest. I have seen the gloves drop from the boss, but was on a "greed" run and I lost the roll. Frozen Heart took me quite a while as well, but I eventually got what I was looking for. ToS I have not run that much because I prefer to not glitch the boss and finding a group for a legit run is occasionally problematic. (yes, I know about NW_Legit and find groups there, but even there ToS runs are not the most common)

    I got lucky and got my hat for my TR in the very first run. Some guild mates had to run it well over 20 times before getting theirs. Another guild member got his hat 3 times before others finally got theirs.

    It is random after all so it can take awhile.

    Know your loot tables!

    Dungeon Delve General:

    Tier 2 dungeon delve chests:
    10% - drops the T2 set armor/weapon piece the in game description says (note each class has 3 sets)
    20% - drops the other T2 ring/necklace/belt piece the in game description says
    50% - drops a random T1 piece your class can use (armor, weapon or otherwise)
    20% - drops a random usually junk purple from the endboss in the area

    The girdle and the insignia are the items the boss will drop. The T2 Helm will be found in the DD chest. If your only goal is the helm, DO NOT RUN SP UNLESS IT'S A DD RUN!

    You only get a 10% chance to get the helm on a DD run, so don't expect it to happen quickly. Best bet, if you have a solid group, is to start your run early enough before the DD timer so that you can end your run during the DD time frame, get the chest, and start over while the DD timer is still up and get a second chest at the end.

    you know, most times i get my gear quickly, but my guildmate ran over 35 times for his avatar helm. It's just luck. Keep going and you will get it.

    Don't worry, I've got to grind away in this dungeon for the second successive weekend to try and get my GF's helm. On the other hand my Cleric got it at the 2nd attempt.
    PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.
