Been Away Since the Midsummer Festival... What's New?

Hello everyone!

I stopped playing this game during the Midsummer Festival due to some real life stuff coming up. I'm going to try to get back into the game now. I recall that the Feywild thing had just gone live, and I was waiting for my boyfriend to reach level 60 for us to do it together.

So, besides the Feywild, what else is new in the game?

    welcome back!

module 2 dropped in the beginning of december, so in addition to the feywild content, you now have the dread ring campaign. each zone has its own set of daily quests and campaign rewards.

as for game changes, there have been quite a bit. i would recommend going through some of the patch note threads. some major changes include item progression, the addition of artifacts and new paragon paths!

feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.

New paragon paths, you say? I still have a free respec, would that allow me to chose a new paragon path?

Welcome back! There has been a bunch of new content, bug fixes and class refining. The biggest you will see is most likely the new artifact and enchant refining system. I think its great and the quests you get explain how to do it pretty well. Good luck and dont be affraid to ask questions, the forum community rocks :)

The free respec will let you change paragon paths :)

Where would I pick up these quests to teach me the new stuff? I'm in Protector's Enclave right now and not seeing anything on my map...

Also, I remember a lot of issues with PvP, as far as people just sitting there and not playing to farm glory, etc... was any of that fixed?

check with sergeant knox. if you're level 60, he'll send you to the sage shop as well as set you on the path for the dread ring campaign.

i'm not sure of the timeline exactly, but if you do not participate in pvp, you don't get glory. i, personally, haven't run into very many spawn area squatters. instead, you'll see more players quitting losing matches. currently, cryptic has a new pvp stat called "tenacity" testing on the preview shard, but testing just began on that a day or so ago. word has it that we're supposed to see pvp changes/options between module 2 and module 3. tenacity is the first hint of changes.

Shame you weren't a few weeks earlier. The Christmas event was better than all the other events put together.

Lots of stuff added as mentioned above. Also, for the first time, its worth having several companions for Sword Coast Adventures via the Gateway.

Looks like folks forgot to mention the new enchantment refining system; that's a big change and will take some getting used to. No more "4 enchants + ward = upgrade"!

not really. i mentioned in my post "item progression" and one of the quests you get in the sage shop gives you a brief run-down of the refinement system. yes, it is very different from the old fusion system. since there are varied opinions about it, the point was to avoid a ranty/flamey discussion of it here.
