Sca ?!

Ok, so I really want the companion that is supposed to drop there. I have now defeated all tier 6 epic dungeons without that dropping. Is this an artifact coffer type of situation ?! I.E. get lucky as hell or never ever get one.

Dunno how many tier 6 there is, maybe 10? Takes a while to complete one and especially all of them since you regenerate stamina as fast as a dead turtle can sprint. (hint: that is not very fast)
Another time wasting element in this pursuit was to get 4 epic companions to rank 30. (don't use them for other than their active bonus so I had to lvl 3 of them to 30 for this)

I am more than used to worthless "rewards" for tough work when it comes to Cryptic designs. (see: CN, MC, VT, GG, DD, Dread Ring/Sharandar, rough AD limit and BoP nightmares)

I don't mind Valindra to have a very low droprate on her shard of the crown. But I opened the arcane coffer in DR for 3 weeks straight and my rewards for that was a handful of peridot and a few rank 4's. (I then gave up and bought another artifact and I am not going back to DR)

Should I give up or have I just been unlucky? (sry for wall of text)

    finished it 68 times as of now.... nada
    im just going to grind CN and use the AD gained there to buy the lightfoot thief.

    i think is 1% drop chance.. i am for sure above 80 runs.. lost count as some point. If you can farm fast ad just buy it as you can very well not see this even after 300 runs.

    Finished 50 runs+ myself. Just like in the case with the coffer/Eye of Lathander, I gave up.

    sorry but it make me laugh every time (not you personally, but all those ppl complaining). If you would get the arty every 2 weeks (ish), server would be flooded whit those... I personaly like the fact its quite "rare"... just like the SCA blue companion. If it was aquirable every 20 run, it wouldnt be has valuable anymore. And now there we go whit the "reward of no value" (ex: green companion reward for events, lot of ppl complaining how a small reward it was for a high grind). One good thing about SCA.... its hard to farm (or if you prefer, hard to bot).

    Some things are just meant to be rare. Especially Artifacts, the Crown of Valindra can only break into so many pieces. How boring would that be if everybody had a shard of her crown. That is part of the fun of the game, is the individuality of the characters, if we were all clones of each other that would be quite boring. Also remember for newcomers, what you consider "worthless" might actually hold value for them. Not everybody that is running Malabog's Castle has done all of the Epic dungeons yet, if they have done any. Play the game to have fun, and if something "valuable" for you drops great. Personally, I don't need a +6 Holy Avenger, a chest overflowing with gold and gems, and a +10 suit of platemail to drop at the end of a dungeon to feel that I have had fun.
