I apologize for the terrible video quality and sound.
Anyways, Hope you guys Enjoy.
My gear consists of Rank 8-10 Enchants, P. Vorp VT weapon set, N. Soulforge, and 3xEpic Artifacts (lantern, Blood, Water). I use both 4 piece Royal Guard or Grand Warden. I can't decide which set is better. Even Master Predator seems like a good set. But on these videos, I was using Grand Warden.

Dread Ring Boons - Reliquary Keeper's Strength, Illusory Regeneration, Forbidden Piercing, Shadowtouch, and Rampaging Madness.

This Build is a pure glass cannon build. Since this build is more melee, it leans toward to a PvP build. However, since my role in runs are tanking/DPSing the boss, I have to be in melee range. Not to mention, it's a lot easier to cast Rain of Arrows in melee range and to take advantage of Forest Ghost + StormStep + Lethal Hunter Spam Attack.

Even though the HR was played very well, there was still the issues of the mobs walking away from rain of arrows/swords even though most were placed well, and your hp going down so easily despite good movement and team cc, so the videos just reaffirm my belief that hunter ranger doesn't reward good skill or taking risks by fighting melee or with throw caution spamming.
I haven't tried VT set so can't really help you there.
For PvP, I'd use Royal Guard due to the def/deflect/regen and also the armor pen. I think with VT weapon set and no Dark enchant on any offense slot I'd have 2800 armor pen(25%res ignore) + 15 str (-5% res ignore) = 30% ignore. That's pretty much the def mitigation of most tanky build. Only downside is low crit.
I've also tried Master Predator, the 10% run speed + fox shift + Forest ghost makes me run faster than any speedy gwf or tr. Downside for this is low power.
At default I am using Grand Warden cause that set has everything and since I'm Human, I gain a lot of benefit from the defense bonus.

I agree, Split Shot seems like it has better DPS than Fox Shift. The main reason I use Fox Shift a lot is for the AP gain, run speed, and to lower the CD of my range CD (Agile Hunter). This is all because of the synergy with Forest Ghost + Stormstep at melee range. When I have that daily up, I can do more damage using Rain of Arrows, Split the Sky and Throw Caution.

How much use do you actually find in these? I find E-Shot to be utterly useless because... well, it's not split shot, and Clear the Ground doesn't seem as good as Split Strike, even though the AoE is on you, not the target. I don't see you use them once in any of your videos. I feel like I'd just stick to rapid. I've just tried this out again and seems worthless still, no reason to really put points into.
Also, apparently Stormstep + Forest Ghost interaction is considered an exploit which really makes me want to keep Priming Critical here, but that loses 15% bonus melee damage which doesn't seem worth it.
I rarely use it. The only good thing about E-Shot/Clear the Ground is if mobs are around/rushing you on melee range it'll hit everyone around you, whereas split shot will only hit one person and you wont be able to hit the ones from the back or side. Even if the damage is low, I sometimes use it just so I can get a crit with my At-will for the Grand Warden bonus.
Although its not on the video but I sometimes use Clear the Ground for weaving (Jumping/moving while using an At will). Since I tank the boss, I usually wait for them to cast red circles/frontals while spaming/moving with Clear the Ground. Then when red circles are casted i switch to range n start using Rain of Arrows and Split the Sky.
If you have my build and put [Tier 3 Archer] 5/5 Correcting Aim and [Tier 4 Combat] 1/5 Bleeding Precision. Using Clear the ground when there's a bunch of mobs around will generally make you crit more with At-wills which is good if you're using Grand Warden Set.
Sure Strike is a slower melee At-will and has a small frontal and can only hit 1 or 2 mobs cone and Clear the Ground has a bigger AoE radius.
But since Split Shot has really high damage. I tend to use that more.

Obsidian Oath - Warlock
A whole lot of other Obsidian toons as well.
I actually had in mind taking the exact same paragon feats as u did 3 on each tree and 1 extra point in melee crit. But in the end i decided to take the first 2 in archery and go to the end in combat for the capstone feat as people where saying it was pretty good. Still in doubt if i did correctly as im using vorpal and correcting aim might proove more usefull than those extra 1-2k dmg u proc with it in the melee encounters which is my main source of melee dmg. thoughts?
I also use grand warden, prefer the stats, but with some 40% ranged crit its fairly easy to get crits with split and i dont think correcting aim is doing that much for it to proc the set bonus as if with 5 targets u didnt get any crit u were pretty unlucky and next shot (where correcting would come in) ur pretty much gona crit anyways.
as for the rotation i run it pretty similar to u, rain of arrows, fox and then either split the sky or hindering. I personally prefer hindering specially the melee part, as its got no target limit so it does considerable dps if there is lots of adds bunched. So I tend to land it in a sing just after roa so the mob just stays there in the roa even after someone else scatters them wth some other aoe (cough sotea) .
Also tend to favour sesimic to dispruptive in dungeons, as i like its bigger aoe punch and the bunching up/ pushing it does.
I also took aspect of the serpent as whenever stormstep gets fixed (too good not to use now) it will be pretty good with this style of play.
Do you mind if I translate your guides on the Russian language and posted on our Russian community?
I can help you with that. Unless you're a Nature build you want to start off with as much dex as possible and wisdom second. Put every point into both as you level - that's all there is to it. Just make sure that your 8's aren't con. Have at least 10-12 con when you start.
