Cannot equip companion with items

Today I bought some new items to upgrade my cat companion. After removing his current items, the new items will not equip to him. I drag the item to his equipment slot, it asks me to verify that I want to bind that item to him. When I click yes, the item stays in my inventory. If I try to equip it again, I get the same result.

    I'm having the same issue.
    My Hawk and Tanky Fighter are both unable to equip neck and waist items respectively. I've tried with several items and none work. Additionally, I can equip said items on any other companions with the same slots without issue.
    This includes white items so it doesn't seem to be a binding issue.
