Hello there,

I've just joined up and wanted to spend some time learning all the basics over Christmas. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out a bit more information about game play? I've found the FAQ but that seemed to be more about mechanics. Is there anything dealing with etiquette in game at all?

I don't know if there's any real etiquette guides to MMOs out there, but I could be wrong. I always play following the basic philosophy of "be excellent to each other". If I see someone fighting a group of mobs I won't help out unless they appear to be in real trouble, with their health low. Some people hate when they get help, so better to be safe. In instances only roll Need on something you really need; generally if it's got a green box I roll Greed but if it's blue and I can use it AND it's better than what I have I always roll Need. Pretty much just be polite, that's always good. I always say hi when I enter a party and then when we're done just a simple "Thanks everyone" before I leave. If you have questions feel free to ask in Zone chat and ignore the inevitable trolling that your comment will get. There's more than enough helpful, cool people playing.

respect has got to be at the top of the list as far as etiquette goes. i would recommend joining a friendly guild if you don't have any qualms about that. some people do like solo play and there's nothing wrong with that. as was stated up there, "be excellent to each other" does go a long way and it's prime advice.

welcome to neverwinter! feel free to PM me if you have specific questions about the game.

Hey guys i just got the game and have no idea how to play or what to do. Im an MMO vet and ive played many games but DAOC (Dark Age Of Camelot) was my main mmo for around 10 years where i was ranked #1 for my class on 2 seperate servers. Im looking to play more casual here and maybe even just do some raids or something like that which i never really got into before since i was a pure pvper. Please let me know if anyone has room for me or would like to show me the ropes. Right now im a 2h melee class (i forget the name) but i might play a healing class instead if i decide to play more for raids. I hope i will get a chance to meet a bunch of you. I also have a youtube page where i do make mmo videos. You can catch all my pvp videos from DAOC on their and the new videos i will make from Neverwinter.
