by numbers yes, but deep gash isnt 100% of our dmg and while i think AoW is superior, i doubt its by a mile, and am interested if anybody has done some extensive tests
from my 6300 power 15% is ~945, aow power adds ~202 to that while 5% from fabled adds ~47, or ~12 considering uptime(+ whatever slightly better stats it gives),
but the dmg bonus applies to all our abilities. on top of that u get determination, while its easy to get it clearing trash, on boss fights that could be noticeable. in tank and spank fight u can easily have 100% uptime on AoW bonus, on fights like valindra you have to run around popping casks and killing hands so its easy to drop the bonus and if in aoe fight 1 skill can get it up, on single target you need to blow all 3
i dont know whats the proc chance for fabled, but if its high enough it should be up for the first 15 sec every minute of the fight where it gives the most benefit since after that most mobs are dead
in short its easier to get fabled set bonus u dont have to keep it up, and bonus determination gives us more time of increased speed on at-wills and cc resistance
Deep gash is around 40% of your total dmg. It also has 100% crit chance according to ACT. This kinda makes me wonder... if is WAI or not... but if this gets fixed expect a severe drop in GWF dps
it crits 100% because it procs off a crit making it a crit (wierd). Avatar > fabled, handes down. I don't see anything competing with avatar even as a sentinel tank (pve wise).
And yes deep gash is what making GWFs very desirable right now, a perfect vorpal GWF does more damage than anything else right now.

Not sure they're more damage then everything else right now, but it's definitely up there.
When the eventual nerf to deep gash happens, I hope they have the insight to SHIFT a good amount of the lost damage elsewhere. Then again, that's apparently expecting way too much of Cryptic. They have this unexplained need to keep GWF out of being all that useful in PVE.

You forget that Deep Gash is actually critting, now.

and also the featured satirical comedic adventure "A Call for Heroes".

Changed that for you.....
There are tradeoffs between each set. Most of the time the 2/2 set bonuses out weigh the 4 set bonus.
Also comes down to the CWs that like to act like this is a bowling game. How many pins can you send flying!?!?!
I digress. AoW beats Fabled.
And triggered by Briartwine armour enchant. Definitely not WAI, I'd say.
