Cleric Disciple Agro Problems

So, my Cleric must be an addicted gambler and she owes everybody tones of money or something because they all what her dead :D
With the New changes to the companions (the Cleric especially), encounters with more them one enemy have turned into a chase. The problem is not that she backs away, that's a good thing. The problem is that all the mobs agro her for no reason and she has to constantly back away, leading to frustrating encounters.
How does she create more threat with her light healing powers then me dealing 10k-20k dmg per hit. And why do the mobs change target as soon as I daze them? Does she really create that much threat or do the Rogue powers create so little threat?
I hate dancing with Lady Luck. She always steps on my toes.

Healing generate quite a bit of aggro. So if you are being healing, she's gonna be targetted. Unless you generate more aggro that means marking or damage.

While normally I would agree with you, there has been a huge change since mod 2. Before the patch I had very little issue with my Tiefling cleric companion pulling aggro. Since the patch, I like the OP, see the entire group go gangbuster to kick my cleric in the face...regardless of what else I am doing.

Look... ya saw the lady's face when you hired her. C'mon, you knew she was a scrapper! =)
Yeah the increased threat on companions is good, but this is a bit too much. I think they just need to tone it down some. On the otherhand.. I do get some major kik-boodi in while they are focused on her..

See my Magnetic Generic Cleric thread in the Moonstone.

Gone are the days where you stand at the entrance to a room, toss a dagger at just one enemy to pull just that one to you, because now the minute you do that, she flies into the room ahead of you and instantly draws aggro. I have literally stood there and did nothing as she immediately backed away down a hallway taking everything in the room with her. The chase is on!

Evasion is a good thing, except when the evader evades themselves into another group of enemies who come to join the party.

I tend to use her now as a free regen potion. Dismissing and summoning as needed and as I am doing just Sharandar and Dread Ring stuff, I rarely get into situation that a potion cant fix.

Its not just the cleric, the Man At Arms companion on other party members outaggro my GF having first marked and attacked a target too

On the other hand, my GF can outaggro the cleric disciple with ease

Use it tactically ... I have a Dire Wolf with my HR, and that companion (along with the HR's reduced aggro feat) is the center of the battle, but I use it to my advantage, if I get aggro, I just move until the wolf is between me and the enemy and he steals it back, I can then go back to popping enemies from a distance.

I imagine you could work out similar tactics with other classes, buff up you pets HP and DEF, so they last a bit longer, then use it to keep everybody in one place, and slowly peel off enemies one at a time, I imagine (though I've never rolled one) that the TR would be the best at this technique, due to there single target DPS capabilities.
Is it finally a T5/U/T6 KDF Science Ship?

When leveling my TR, the Cleric Decipal companion would stand there and collect all the mobs. This made it easy to kill them :) I think if the CD was backing up it would actually be rather annoying as this would case the mobs to move.

Took wizard companion just for fun. It's all the same, he's getting **** lots of aggro, no matter how much damage I dealt, every mob is going to kill my poor CW.

You would imagine correctly if Rogues were ranged attackers :)
I have to chase after the mobs, give them a few stabs, then chase a bit more, and so on. I have to be careful how I time encounters not to miss. At least with the bulkier mobs. The ones with less HP, I just fling a few daggers, and they're dead.

    Edit:
Actually, now that I think about it, this kinda defeats the whole purpose of the change in the companion's behavior. The Cleric gets all the agro so you don't need any healing. However, if all the mobs chase her, they will eventually kill her, then they will come after you. And now you have all the agro and no healer. Not cool.

I used to use my TR's cleric as a tank with threat reduction feats and bonus hit points for her. It worked pretty well even in Sharandar but I had to stop when I got my Stone. Probably a good thing I did, since I needed her to gather everything up and get combat advantage on it. With the new changes, every fight would have been like my rogue's time through normal PK (wanted the achievement) with an at level party. I needed to tank the boss, but he and everything else in the room were completely uninterested in me. I could run through mobs chasing Blackdagger and rarely ever get Duelist's Flurry to start before he was off again to attack someone else.
