What I mean is this: I am in Range stance. So I am using my bow. Do the stats of my blades/offhand for Melee still effect me? And if I switch to Melee stance, do the stats of my bow effect me still?
Just think of the weapon you're not using being the same as the icon, sword knot, etc, etc, for other classes.

I noticed that on all the purple sets from Dread, the stats are identical for each piece. The slots and the damage are different. The stats are not that much for each alone, but are respectable when combined, so I think all stats (except the damage, but including all enchants) apply at all times. It's not an answer, but I think it's a reasonable guess anyway.
Edit- Oh, also- equipped is equipped, I think. GF isn't always blocking, but always gets stats from the shield.. And if you remove either blade or bow, your stats go down accordingly.

That is exactly what I needed to know. Thank you gents! I primarily play as an archer only getting into melee when I have to, so its nice to know that my blade still means something for me. Makes sense though
Examine the damage from any of your at-wills or encounters while you have both bow and blades equipped. Take off your blades or your bow and observe the damage change.

Bad testing protocol. You damage IS going to be less. Both weapon provide a lot of Power. So removing one weapon will lower the damage slightly of the slotted weapon.
Yes its just as good as the great sword and sword knot. The blades and bow are for mechanics and looks nothing more, and are still equipped (so their for the stats are on) and make the ranger into the ranger.
The fact that the damage is less is what the person was looking for. Stats on the secondary effect the primary. That's really what the question was and the easy answer is doing just as said. note the damage, remove the weapon, note the new number.
Your bow's damage doesn't effect your melee stance and your blade's damage doesn't effect your ranged stance. It basically means that the weapon not in use turns into something of a Sword Knot, only providing stats.

Damage makes sense. I am more referring to crit/power ect. Stuff like that.

The difference between 900 power and 765 weapon damage is massive.
