Sounds more of a hardware problem, do you have any experience with checking hardware?

BSOD is rarely, if ever, caused by an application patch. Have you recently changed any drivers or hardware?

Are you getting the bsod right away or after a while of playing? I ask because nw seems to make my computer run hotter than other games with comparable graphics like it doesn't utilize some things efficiently. If the crash is after a while I'd double check that all your fans are running and aren't clogged with dust bunnies.

    Just a thought ymmv

While I haven't played enough to crash yet with my new PC, I actually think there may be something funky going on. I got this weird slow texture loading thing in Neverwinter on my 4850, which I thought was just failing hardware because after the texture issues I'd have a freeze or a BSOD. I thought it was my PC, so I took this as an opportunity build an admittedly still budget but improved PC with all new parts which included a 7870. I started up Neverwinter after installing and started getting the same but not nearly as pronounced weird texture lag in places like the character screen (background would be white) or the map screen.

Could this be an ATI/AMD thing? What video card do you have?

Oh ok, I was just thinking perhaps something in Shadowmantle or the last few patches did something which was extra taxing on some ATI cards. No problem, sorry I couldn't help.

bsod is generally hardware problem not a software problem, the most common reason is bad sector in hard drive , so plz try to scan the hard drive with good software and defragment it too. the reason it is associated with software is cause of the reason the software makes the bad sector , but deleting the software will just remove the chances of another bsod but to repair ,just repair ur bad sector using software isolate it into garbage space.
