Hi, im not a CW, never been and never will be (made same topic in tr section), and im making this thread out of curiosity.

How do CWs find the upcomming module 2? I mean, will the actualy cws be dissapointed if a buffed gwf will outdps u guys during instances, or are u accepting ur role as a crowd controller insteer of being main dps?

Also, how does the dps compare on a fully cc cw build and new fire path?

Im just curious about the changes, and how itll affect the gameplay in general, so i though its best to ask about cw opinion about pve related stuff in a cw section ;]

Well coming from a both GWF and CW player and a TR (DC and GF are still lvl 35and 38). All 3 at BiS set(HV, Swash, AoW) with rank 7+ and greater or perfects. Yeah I know, that's a lot of time put into this game. I feel that it's all falling into place on the preview.
When in doubt, just hold on. A new day will rise :)

It's OK if I get outdps (not on live tho') by a GWF that is better geared and specced for damage output. Actually I was trying Oppressor in PvE in a skirmish today and a GWF did outdps me by a 40% or so, so my dreams of using Oppressor in PvE are gone. I'd say my build was full CC and it's <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> in PvE. Fire is also disappointing.

CWs should get paragon paths for CC and for DPS separately so we can choose. I always played ranged magic DPS in RPGs and always was near or at the top of the DPS charts when geared, and this is how I'll continue to play since I like it most.

Anything to clear dungeons easier is a good thing. In PvP SotEA will finally benefit from ArmPen so I don't really care about their new abilities. I think people are making this a bigger deal than it needs to be in the first place.

When it comes to dungeons, I personally don't care about being out-DPS'ed by anyone. (Well, maybe if I'm out-DPS'ed by the DC, that may mean I ought to rethink my class choice...) I just want to finish it successfully and get the loot.

Same with PVP for me, actually. I personally don't care if I don't get any kills, or if I die 100 times. I just want my team to win the match.

What kind of foolishness is this OP.

I couldn't care less who does most damage if monsters die and die fast. CW + GWF AoE combo is extremely powerful as it is already and I gladly welcome more damage to equation.

About the control role of CW though...you have gotten something very wrong here. For most occasions our best control setup does the most AoE damage aswell so there isn't anything to lose :)

I already saw some very good aoe speced Dps Gwfs during CN runs.
Standing in center of Singus and doing lots of aoe damage outdpsing even cws.

If pve aoe gwfs outdps cws and can do dungeons faster I might level one instead of whining.

As for the new paragon it requires lots of testing to make a good build.

OP here again, answering question about my "foolishness". Tbh gwf do desreve a bit of loving, especially since they are suppose to be, as devs said in fotf patch nerfing the hell out of it, "outstanding aoe dps class". Thats where my worries come from, becouse for a looong time gwfs were considered some kind of balast for the party, especially since the class itself requires some leroying, the more hits we absorb, the more dmg and dmg reduction we get...its kinda a paradox i would say...As for the question about CCing by cw, one of my closest friends and one of best pve cws ever encountered, is a singu spambot, which is uber awesome for building up the dmg, both by him and me. Explaining that part of the post, i meant to ask if some of the cws understand that clustering and ccing is their primary role, dmg just comes with that huge aoe mob-hit-limit. Thats why i also asked about ur new paragon...

All that comes from kinda lack of testing party play in preview server, was hoping some of u guys might have insight on how the changes actually work there...

Well all classes deserve some loving) The question is - at which cost? We have ranger coming soon - who is he gonna replace in party?
Those glass cannons facerolling all CN (4CW+DC) - why do you think they exist? Not just because they bring highest DPS, but because they provide CONTROL over all those hoards of adds. And this trend is going to continue if we won't get something valuable in replace.
As GWFs become useful in dungeons - where we gonna put GF? It is a good class, i personally love GFs in party. I don't want debuff and Aoe from GWF, i want the GF to hold the aggro and keep my wizardry butt safe. But it's for now - and after the patch who knows how the odds gonna stack up.
The next patch looks far from bringing balance imho.

And no, i won't get upset if someone will outdps me) Although the Paingiver does feel good, but you know what really cherishes my pride? Immovable object :) I get that too sometimes.

P.S. being a spam bot is so easy any spec can do this <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> duty ;) as it is said in one of the guides:
    At-will: <aint matter> + <aint matter>
    Encounter: EF on tab, CoI, <aint matter> + <aint matter>
    Daily: AS + <aint matter>
But it is not optimal loadout, it is only needed sometimes.
