Fix Trade Loophole?

There's a problem with the trading between players. One person posts their stuff, the others theirs. Once the first person accepts, before the second one accepts, the first player can withdraw his items leaving the second player giving their items away and getting nothing in return. It happens quickly and if you are quick on the accept button, you lose out. There are two players scamming with this last night and today using this method. One has been reported to the GM, but I don't know the handle of the second player, only his game name. Can the devs fix it to where once you have posted your items and hit accept, you can't pull them back off real quick? Sucks that we have dishonest players but that's just life, I guess. But if you could please do something to make sure that they can't use this loophole would be great! Thanks much!

even with the most recent patch that created "Trade Window: There is now extra confirmation dialog when trading with players to confirm the trade."

    This is still happening? o.O'

Either way, what eldarth said. Also, try reporting the player in-game by submitting the proper ticket.
    contents to be decided

i did report him to the GM. also, i WAS slow in accepting, several seconds, but just as i was about to hit accept, i noticed he pulled his items back out after he had already accepted the deal and i waited for a minute or so, but he didn't post them back and his still said accepted, so i declined. i got lucky, several others last night and today did not.

I allways wait that the other player accept before, but you are saying there is no way to avoid scam if he can remove his object AFTER accepted.

A mechanism to prevent immediate "Accept"ance when a player changes the trade would definitely be welcome.

Another option would be a system notice indicating that the other player had changed his trade.

Better yet, what about a system where if one changes the trade, both players' items will be removed from the trade window.

Needless to say, at any rate, even with these mechanisms, sadly there are indeed unscrupulous (and crafty) players out there who will try to cheat you. In any dealing, it's buyer beware so always be careful before hitting "Accept".
Remember: in any con, it takes two to tango.

"Better yet, what about a system where if one changes the trade, both players' items will be removed from the trade window." ... yes, that would be a great way to maybe stem this.

"I allways wait that the other player accept before, but you are saying there is no way to avoid scam if he can remove his object AFTER accepted." ... yes, that's exactly what happened. he posted his items, i posted mine, he hit accept, i waited a few seconds and just as i was fixing to click accept, he pulled his items off and his still said he accepted, so if i HAD clicked accept, i would have given him my items and got nothing in return from him.
