Retributive Tactician Enchantments

I recently decided to respec and go down the Tactician line. I am very happy with it so far (aside form the mistake of going Daunting Challenge instead of Battle Trample but these things happen when you respec while intoxicated... ), but I am at a loss to decide on enchantments.

In dungeons I use Into the Fray, Knight's Valour and Enforced Threat in combination with Supremacy of Steel and Fighter's Recovery. I have action points coming out of my <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> and in big fights my AP pool is refilled long before Supremacy has expired (hmm, there's a thought, I should use Fighter's Recovery when that happens and I'm low on health, must remember to try that). Basically, what I want in an enchantment is something that can help me grab aggro from across the room while I am surrounded and can't tab tag. I don't have a problem with this when something is using a DoT because Supremacy procs (usually, not always) for every tick of the DoT, but with normal attacks it doesn't do much and I have to try and tab tag, which is difficult when you are surrounded.

My first thought was Bronzewood but Supremacy is a Daily and Bronzewood only works for At-Will and Encounters and I read somewhere that there is some debate about whether the Bronzewood mark only works to increase your DPS (good) or everyone's (bad). Also, it's a different mark altogether and doesn't directly generate threat.

Second thought was Plague Fire. Again, however, I have seen people say that the DoT is bugged which will reduce it's usefulness. More importantly, however, is I don't know how much use the -Def would be. I was assuming that every proc of Supremacy would use MY ArPen until someone questioned whether it will work that way if it's a Valour/Supremacy proc - my ArPen or theirs? I assume it still uses mine, but have to be sure. Then there's the whole issue of ArPen anyway... is Plague Fire going to be of any use at all once I up my Resistance Ignored to 25%? How exactly does the -Def work on Plague Fire anyway? Three stacks of -15% is more damage resistance than all but GFs have and that's not even taking Resistance Ignored into consideration. To the best of my knowledge, nobody can get 70% DR so it seems like overkill.

Depending on how Plague Fire does or does not work, Flaming looks like it would be a good one... if the DoT works.

Lifedrinker could be the difference between still standing and being instagibbed when my shield breaks, but I don't think it does anything for threat.

Lightning I am not sure about at all. One thing I don't want to have is extra chains hitting the boss and drawing aggro off the DPS.

Terror also looks like an excellent choice, but is missing a DoT so not sure if it will be able to generate enough threat. I'm also unsure about about how it works so if everyone is doing 20% more damage it doesn't add much, if anything, to my threat.

Vorpal is useless.

Lastly, there is Tenebrous which, on the surface, looks like a very nice increase in damage/threat, but it's usefullness will be vastly diminished when I am surrounded and constantly at low hit points.

That's all I can think of. It's worth pointing out, and perhaps stating the obvious, that I do not have Reckless Attacker so have comparatively very low Power. I could be wrong, but this suggests that I need a DoT to generate threat.

And then there's Armour.

Barkskin? I already have over 50% DR, but I still take a lot of damage. Unless I'm missing something a Perfect Barkskin is absorbing just over 4k damage for three stacks, but it will only be absorbing 810 every 8 seconds after that while in combat. Would Barkskin make a difference?

Bloodtheft. Potentially extremely useful. Potentially a waste of a slot. How does Bloodtheft proc with Supremacy of Steel, if at all?

Briartwine. Only mentioning it because it increases my retributive damage.

Elven Battle. Being immobilised while Knight's Valour is running, because I cannot block 360 degrees, usually results in an instagib.

Fireburst would be a dash of win added to the spectacular awesome-sauce that is the KV/SoS visuals. But VFX mean nothing.

Negation, Soulforged and Thunderhead all look great... once per minute. Soulforged in particular looks like the best stop-gap between potions and could potentially be the lifesaver when my shield brakes.

As you can see, there are a lot of things I am trying to take into consideration. Any input would be useful, but I am particularly interested in why you think I should take particular enchants. Just because "everybody" uses it doesn't necessarily mean it's best for my build.

Cannot help someone who thinks Vorpal is useless or that there is a magic enhancement that controllably improves your ranged aggro (not threat).

Nothing will improve your ranged Mark other than Enhanced Mark class feature and Potent Challenge heroic feat.

Please, enlighten me as to how Vorpal is of any use to a build with less than 200 Critical Strike.

I am not looking to imrove my Mark, and nowhere did I say that. Damage generates aggro on non-marked targets.

Now, if you don't have any other stupid comments to make I'd like to hear from people that can read.

Extra chains can be a problem with lightning in boss fights - but very helpful everywhere else with getting aggro.
GPF has the issue (apart from it being broken atm) that if you are all hitting the same trash & somebody else has one - the debuff doesn't stack, cancelling out a good portion of it's usefulness.
I gave up trying to choose & run 2 weapons - a greater lightning & a greater plague fire and swap between them as appropriate.

That's what I heard about the Lightning. Essentially if it chains I might pull aggro off the boss even if the DPS doesn't get hit, whereas with the other enchantments the damage isn't enough to draw aggro from the boss when DPS does get hit (unless the "DPS" sucks).

My understanding about Plague Fire is that the DoT does not currently work at all. Is that correct? And is that for all ranks, or just the Greater version? Judging by what you say about the -Def, is it only for me rather than the whole party?

Have you thought about feytouched enchantment? I've seen few gf's running around with it. Not sure how good it is since my gf is @lvl48. :)

Try Plaguefire (the debuff works for the entire party) and probably I would go for either Braitwine or Elven Battle. Soulforged is also very handy especially if you plan to PvP.
