Epic Artificer K'th'k missing rank tags

I received a an epic artificer labelled "K'th'k, the Apprentice Artificer" from a professions pack, but it is missing the rank tags and as a result can only complete rank 1 tasks. I seriously hope this is a bug and not Cryptic's way of gypping paying customers.

Same problem here...and I seriously hope, that it will be patched soon. Or is there any statement about this asset?

I also have one of these and would like to know what's up with it. Is it as intended and is for some yet uncovered Artificing task, quest, or otherwise? Or is it some bugged item, perhaps a test item that accidentally made it into production?

I don't know why it would just be a Artificer. If it's supposed to be the equivalent of a Grandmaster Artificer, why bothering even having it? If it's supposed to be similar to a Grandmaster Artificer but with different stats, why doesn't it have more info attached to it? Why is the description so...lacking?

I posted an in game bug report on it to try to pry a little info out of the support team (hoping they would at least respond that either it is as intended or bugged or they are looking into it or something), but the ticket just disappeared without a trace.

It should at least have the same stats as the grandmaster. Isnt it suppost to be the epic asset in the booster pack? so it should have epic stats or another valuable skill so that ists comparable. Its a bit frustrating to buy the pack and get the "great" K`th`K, he who knows about about artificing...well mine knows barely nothing :P

I wanted to trade him, but well...who will by him, who knows nothing...? And I cant use him either, because, he knows less than my other artificing assets. would be very nice to know, if its a bug, or well destiny to get him or if hes a late bloomer and will become a real something.

    pls GMs...a little info?

Mine says rank 4, allowing me to instantly finish a quest !!

I just figured out that mine can do rank 1 quests with 50% speed. But well hes still without rank and I would be really disappointed if i just got an epic rank 1 asset *sigh*

I just noticed that it has 50% speed as well. It's kind of odd that it gives 50% speed bonus but doesn't say so in the description. You would think the 2 would be linked. So that makes it slightly better than a Carver.

I could see there being a Rank 1 asset with a speed boost to provide a little variety, but it makes no since that it would be Epic/Purple. At best, it should be Uncommon/Green. And it should say Rank 1, shouldn't it? But it says nothing.

I hate this thing, currently. It's a useless item that stole an Epic reward from my Asset Pack. I hope they fix it some day.

Frankly, I'm afraid to buy any more Asset Packs, because they are probably biased to give people Artificing assets (which I don't want) more than others since it's a new profession, and if I'm lucky and get an Epic item, it might just be another worthless K'th'k that I can't even sell or trade.

K'th'k slipped into the game by mistake. Kobolds are tricksy that way. He will have a brand new tooltip and rank 3 sometime soon. (next week hopefully). Until then he functions as an Epic artificer only in an optional slot and in Rank 1 tasks.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for responding on this thread. I feel much better about it now. This confirms my theory that it was probably just for testing and ended up in the live game by mistake. I kind of poo pooed the existing tool tip, but I actually feel it's not that bad as long as the rest of the item makes sense without a tool tip to explain it.

Looking forward to seeing what the game developers do with it. It could end up being an interesting, unique, and possibly rare asset, but even if it's just swapped for something else I'll be happy.

K'th'k was updated with this mornings maintenance. Same stats as Grandmaster Artificer now. Title and tool tip updated. He is now "K'th'k, the Grandmaster Artificer".
