Yeah that was it....... Cryptic, really? Duplicate means duplicate, not duplicate and snap to grid. That doesn't make any sense.
It's the same with copy and paste when you copy a number of Items. I can't think of any situation where you would copy more than one item and want to reset the values. It's not logical.

This one is logical imo. Snap to grid means everything you move with your mouse will automatically snap to grid. And when you do the copying you see that it just snaps to grid instead of moving freely, so you instantly know what is going on and just turn off Snap to grid. Problem solved. But when you simply duplicate a map with a single button (which, as the name says, should make everything exactly the same in the copy), then play the map and see that everything is messed up you have no idea what the hell happened, unless you come to an utterly stupid conclusion that snap to grid made them fit the gird..... and it turns out to be true. Just wtf.
EDIT: Oh man, oh man. I get it now: it snaps every single item you try to copy to a grid, like, not the point you are dragging, but aaaall the items, so they end up misplaced completely? Oh man...

The only thing I noticed that had moved were a couple of flower pots. And a elf shelf.
Edit: I had my snap to grid turned off.

I'm gonna blame the OTHER GUY who is TOTALLY NOT ME for writing this code. I wrote all the code that works.
We will look into it.
