Anyone have screen shots of the Neverwinter Event: Summer Festival items? Like the weapons and costumes? Seeing you can't preview the items and no one wants to buy something they can't test drive. I am hoping this post might curve some rage about junk looking items found out only after bought.

Anyone got pictures of these items? Weapons & Costumes.

Here's a tip if you want the costume but are unable to stand the silly amount of grind involved as well as the constant accusations of stealing other peoples flowers lol , just make the temporary versions of the costumes and then transmute them onto your peasant outfit , it costs only 103 ad to transmute and you look exactly the same as somebody who did a crapload of grinding lol , also the effect is permanent and does not wear off after 8 hours.

The male clothing makes you look like a 70s HAMSTER star. And my guy even has a HAMSTER mustache to complement the look. Right on.

The new profession allows you to make versions of the top and bottom that only last 8 hrs of in-game time, then later a permanent version of the pants and headware. As imsmithy pointed out, you can transmute your peasant clothing to look the temporary versions, and it's pretty cheap.

You can get a permanent version of the top, bottom, and head wreath for about 2600 petals. Some of the weapons can be seen on a board behind the petal vendor. The daggers are alright, but the other pieces are just too flowery for my tastes. They should have given them more of a vine look, IMO.

Another tip - if you are annoyed by "flower thieves" just go to a lower population instance...

The peasant gear is proving to be useful, lol. Sound like an exploit though. I am going to get so band. Thanks for the tips thought.

Well, I wouldn't consider it an exploit because in transmuting your peasant garb, you are losing its appearance, and the devs intentionally set the transmutation cost at a very affordable level.

Furthermore, the temporary pieces are bind on pickup, so you can't sell them to others - they have to go through the steps to create the pieces themselves. Only the permanent pants and head wreath are bind on equip.

LOL! yeah right , the male costume + the star mask from the last event = mid 70s Elton John , all you need is a pair of sparkly boots with big wedged soles learn Candle in the wind and you're good to go.

Dude , I'm pretty sure that they could in no way rationalize banning people for doing this when you consider the fact that they congratulated players who took advantage of a recent lockbox exploit that left many players with several high value T3 mounts.

TOS says they can. They don't have to have a reason to ban someone.

    Anyway,
The weapon board behind the NPC that sells the event weapons, well there isn't an Orb on the board. Hmmm. Maybe the orbs look like the water orbs next to her?

I'm pretty sure the orbs are the flowers floating near her to the right when you're looking at her from the front, but I'm not positive. Anyone confirm / deny this?

You can have one, for only 4200 petals.

As far as the whole temporary top issue. Id be less concerned with bans, then simply logging on one day and finding the item gone. Not that I expect it to be all that likely, but it would really suck to end up loosing it later. Like after the event is over and it can no longer be replaced.

If it's any consolation, the temporary top, when worn, has a visible counter that tics down as you wear it. The peasant garb transmuted to look like the temp top lacks said counter.

If they didn't want us to do that, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have made it transmutable -- certain bound stuff wasn't transmutable a while back before a fix was made IIRC, so it can certainly be barred for certain items. I don't think they mind.

They also seem to have some control of the cost to transmute a piece - why is the top only 103 ADs while weapons/gear can cost 60K?

Maybe it has to do with the quality of the gear/clothing?

Presumably because the peasant garb is white and the Sunite stuff is green while the stuff we'd normally transmute is purple. I don't really know because I've never transmuted before now, though; I'm just guessing.

I think I crafted the blue pants last night. I'll check it on those if no one beats me to it.

As far as im aware, the cost scales with the items level, or value. The peasants clothing is simply the cheapest option.

As far as the temporary tops. I honestly don't expect them to suddenly vanish. But Its a legit concern, Cryptic has done stranger things in the past. Simply because something is allowed via mechanics in no way means it is intended. One only needs to look at recent problems to know this.

Is it just a fluff pet, or does it give stats?

IIRC it's kind of a controller with damage and debuffing. I kinda want one for lulz and cuteness but not sure which character should get it.

How smart. Now it's going to be fixed in a few weeks, because the devs will notice players are also selling their founder's or knight of the feywild "peasant's tunics". :)

Hopefully they just make the peasant tunics BoP or the various pack garb unable to be transmuted onto another item...

TBH, though, the fact that you don't see that already leads me to believe that there's some other limitation in place.

I'm working toward it, but it looked like a striker w/ some sort of AoE debuff (mud shake) as its level 30 ability.

Yea, at least according to its description. Its main attack is a single target charge. Being a controller, perhaps it has the ability to knockdown baddies. Its 2nd attack is listed as an AoE. Its 3rd adds an AoE slow attack.

On the surface, it seems like an animal version of the wayward wizard companion.
