Little known fact... the flakes in Goldschlagger are made from gold pig pork rinds!
Regarding the herding mini-event - is it possible to get the pigs that are way back on the right of the farm, into the pen before the little herd timer runs out? I usually go for the pig and chickens near the pier...

I've done that, just barely with time remaining. I go out and gather metric tons of corn, then usually herd the piggies on my way back. They're adorable.
Chase 1 pig , get the 7 points and back to picking flowers , exactly the same reward as if you spent the entire time chasing the piggys sadly...
You do get more rewards for placing higher in the contest (I did when I came in first once from epic corn-harvesting). The rewards are just split into two columns and the items aren't stacked (stack of 15 petals on the left, stack of 45 on the right), so it's hard to tell that you get more.

A better question is why no chicken companion or giant chicken mount.

GF Guard doesn't block CC
Villains doesn't proc Life Steal
Plague Fire debuff not stacking
Somewhere in the region of 'There's dinner for the winter sorted', I imagine
