How do we promote someone to rank 7 now to perform guild administrative duties in the case of the guild leader being banned?

Not that I disagree with you, but this thread isn't discussing the merits of the ban wave. I don't want it to get locked. I want a conversation about not being able to promote a rank7.

Please keep the discussion of bans out of the thread. RoC is clear on the prohibition of discussion of administrative actions in any form.

I'll have to ask what failsafe system is in place for this condition.
I do know there's a system in place in the case that a guild leader is inactive for 30 days so I would expect they may have planned for the event of a guild leader being banned.

In the mean time the Guild Leader can still appeal to customer service regarding the ban. :)

Cool. Thanks for an actual response instead of just gutting my post and destroying the context in which it was presented.

I added back a bit of context. While bans are not to be discussed it is pertinent to know what to do in the unlikely event of a banned guild leader.

It'll still take me a bit of time to get a response, though. The staff are just now getting into the offices so please remain patient and I'll get an answer as soon as I can. :)

If the guild leader has been banned after 30 days their account will be inactive and the system will kick in.

Indeed but it seems a little...odd...to put the rest of the guild in that situation.

In the worst case scenario that would be true but it's worth asking to see if there's any other system in place to handle this possibility.

If the guildmaster is gone for a long time it will offer the ability to "claim" the guild to the next rank down. Its happened to a small guild I was in that was made in open beta the leader left right after beta. so the people who she had set as founders got offered the guild.

Ok, the only system in place ATM is the thirty day inactive clause. Sadly you will not have a leader until thirty days has passed or unless the guild leader's ban is removed.
