Slam used to do more damage than Spinning Strike does, but it took a full 12 seconds to do it. Spinning Strike, on the other hand, does all of its damage in like 5 seconds. It seems like Spinning Strike gained around 50% more range(total is still like 1/4 of Slam), so it's at least easier to hit with.
I feel like if Spinning Strike was treated as an Encounter, then it would be much better. You'd get your weapon enchantment and your important feats on each spin, instead of needing to apply your debuffs on the mob before using Spinning Strike.

Slam seems more like a tanking move now. Tool tip mentions something about double threat on it. I also don't think it crits anymore.
Spinning strike is ok but I enjoy Avalanche more.
