Patch has made Foundries Much More Difficult

I have been encountering a lot of difficulties in the foundries. Have been trying to do a four foundry run. I have run into out of sight bugs where I can't focus on a specific activity, much higher difficulty settings for combat, a much greater amount of lag, problems with incomplete foundries disappearing from the travel map, and a lot of trouble completing the foundries.

Was able to finish one. Having played many of the old foundries, I am finding the list was shortened and edited quite a bit. It is much harder to search and find foundries. There is much less to select from. Would like the old variety back. I am noticing that many of the short foundries 18 minutes or so have been removed. This makes it harder to do a short foundry run. I think it may be to control AD. When you are given an option to play mainly 30+ minute foundries, it makes it harder to finish daily quest sets.

Would like more there.

I also do not like the new limit of five foundries on your list of playable foundries. Have had to remove a lot of the foundries from my quest inventory.

Would like to see the variety of foundries come back with many short foundries. This was better. Also, the focus on trying to pick foundries with harder combat to list is a bad idea. Want to see foundries with better stories, art, more variety, innovation, less trash mobs, power gaming.

Liked when people could turn out variety quickly. This encourages experimentation.

The Foundry is currently in a state of flux after the patch. Not all quests have been published, and editing is offline for the time being. Don't worry about how it looks right now, as this is just a temporary situation.

Ok, I have to say its clear to me that only some of the participants in this thread have ever endured the 'fun' that has been a season update in STO's Foundry. You may think this is bad and 'neglected' but I don't believe I have seen a downtime/major breakage of something last longer than 2 weeks so far.

THAT is a pittance compared to the STO side. Every season update except 1 has been met with multiweek breakage, editing revocation and other havok. Frankly I am more annoyed at the fact that NW gets its foundry stuff patched on a monday to fix bugs and bring it closer to operational. We pretty much never see that on the STO side, and it would be nice if perhaps some of that love could be directed there for once.

But by all means, complain about this, its the internet and your right, but just remember, it can be worse

I have tested my quest and nothing has changed except a horse moved 1-2 feet. I am still getting plays but you can not see my foundry in the new section etc. I understand why. I am just pointing out that on my end there were no bugs.

The only thing I am suffering from is foundry fatigue! :)

    *sigh* Thread derailment.

Back on topic... I'm POed in Cryptic's incompetency to fix the Foundry issues in a timely manner. There. Flame on. ;)

Less a flame and more, um no you are getting response time (and responsiveness) I dream of over in STO. I cant tell you the last time something thats broken in that foundry was actually fixed in as short of a time as the 2 fixes you got yesterday.

come over to the scifi side and walk in our shoes for a bit, we have replicated cookies :)

I put up with it for the same reason I put up with you, the enjoyment I derive from playing and using the Foundry outweigh the annoyance generated by delays in my ability to edit or reading childish and unhelpful posts like yours.

There is a rumor floating around that I am working on a new foundry quest. It was started by me.
