I went into 3d edit mode in my cave project today and i'm noticing some issues with cave assets since the patch. The texture resolution on many (all?) room and detail assets seems to have been reduced, some more so than others. For example, Cave Rocks - Boulder 02 looks moderately pixelated, whereas Cave Rocks - Shards 01 Medium looks horribly pixelated. Even worse is the bare floor of Cave Hallway - Corner.
Also, it seems the shading along sharp intersections may have been reduced, making the esthetically-displeasing transitions from one texture to the other more visible.
I've changed my Direct3d setting and my World Texture Quality setting back and forth and haven't seen a difference. Is anyone else seeing these issues? I haven't found a post about this yet.
Something similar happened at the end of the beta, if I'm not entirely wrong about the timing. Only then it was much, much worse. They probably messed up some of the texture resources and need to patch them if what you're reporting is true for everyone.
Thanks. Yeah, i'm just waiting to see if others are experiencing the same thing before i post it as a bug. Would you mind taking a minute to check on your end?

yup, also a number of graphics changed on various assets, such as mossy rocks no longer showing the mossy texture.
Additionally, they changed the colors and art work of many other assets (all vines now have orange flowers and green grass is now brown.) We can only report the problems and hope for a fix.

All vines used to have orange flowers, then they were removed, now they're back. Cryptic can't make up their mind.
Resetting the graphics to "default" then max, fixed it for me.
Hope it Works for you too!
Good luck.
Check out my campaign "A time of need" NWS-DK9TIAT7J! I'm still seeking and trading reviews, feel free to send me a message with your foundry code and I will play them as soon as possible.
I actually had to do that in the real game back at launch. I launched it at high and the textures were HAMSTER. Setting them to low, then back to high again fixed it for me.
There's a bug right now where some art assets get stuck in "low quality" mode, even if your graphics settings are maxed out. Just moving the graphics quality slider in the options menu should fix it for now.

I was going to say, those screenshots don't look pixelated (F-Zero of SNES, anyone?) rather it looks like Bump Mapping had gotten disabled.

It's both things at once. The textures aren't pixelated, but they are definitely of lower resolution as well as not being enhanced by details or normal mapping. When crypticmapolis refers to low quality, he's probably talking about every aspect of it.

Well, obviously. Green grass is only for Cryptic authors. Mere Foundry peasants can't have green grass. Now go eat your cake.
