Mobile version of forums....?

Is there a mobile version of the forums, because viewing the forums on a smart phone is bloody awful.

I mean, in this day and age there should be a mobile version. If I missed, I apologize but I don't think I did.

    Why should there be a mobile version? the game runs on your pc, not your phone..

    I hope this is sarcasm. He was talking about the forums not the game. Its hardly uncommon to browse forums when one cant access the game or a PC easily. Not to mention that the entire concept of the NW Gateway kinda makes your statement seem, really, really absurd.

    There is a mobile version of the forums.

    I don't have any problem other than logging in being a royal pain in the rear...?

    The forums work exactly as I would expect and are exactly what I would expect a mobile version to be other than the log-in icon trying to run away. What problems are you specifically having which is suggesting there isn't a mobile version?

    So yeah, I was talking about the forums, using them on my phone when I have downtime at work on other times.

    This site works on my iPhone but it not mobile friendly as far as my iPhone's Safari, Dolphin or Chrome browsers go. What I mean by that is it is not setup for knowing it is being viewed on a mobile device. It works now like it would on a desktop.

    I will post examples below for what I mean.

    That is the Official Wiki and not the forums.

    The wiki is hosted by and provided to us through a partnership with Curse.com.

    I am not aware of what mobile support Curse has. I would have to ask the powers that be look into that but this question, truthfully, would be best posed to Curse because the wiki is, to the best of my knowledge, theirs and is merely the officially supported wiki.

    Select Cryptic and PWE Staff merely have administrative access to the wiki and the Cryptic Developers do actively work on expanding the information as well but the website, coding and upkeep likely fall to Curse.

    I am not talking about the wiki. Showing the wiki was an example of how the mobile version of the forums should look.

    So again. The forums are obviously not optimized/coded for the mobile platform.

    Your post about playing hide and seek with the login is an example of how the forums are not mobile friendly. Otherwise it would it jump around if coded properly.

    Anyway all these posts confirmed my suspicions. Could you ask your bosses if they plan on making the FORUMS more mobile friendly?

    I thought you were posting the wiki to show how the Neverwinter News is oddly placed.

    Other than the login button jumping around (annoying but manageable) the forums work exactly as I would expect it and often use my Galaxy SII to browse the forums. Users can always tell because I'll end up saying random words (one time dealing with sexual content) because of auto-correct.

    There are no plans of altering the forums in the near future.

    The requirement of zooming is the only issue that could be improved but then again I am biased. I'd rather have a full website and zoom around than some less features as I typically do on some of the mobile sites. Big examples of mobile sites I despise are Newegg and Tigerdirect.

    It might be a good idea to post in the Bug Reports forum instead, since the runaway login box is definitely a bug. Maybe they'll "fix" this bug by giving us a mobile version of the forums :)

    These seem to be vBulletin forums, dunno the version. Hope that helps you find an alternate solution.

    I access the forums from my phone as well, and it is really messed up. I use the Firefox mobile browser, and and the text seems to come in three sizes. Freaking huge, normal, and microscopic. I'm constantly zooming in to read some posts, and then zooming out to read others.

    So yeah, I really wouldn't mind a more mobile friendly forums either.

    Just found out, there's a mobile skin you can use that's a little bit better for phones. Try it out by adding &styleid=2 to the end of the URL in your address bar when you're in a subforum or thread, and change it back with &styleid=1. It's a ? instead of the & if there isn't already a ? in the URL.
