As the title suggests, I just started playing Neverwinter. As a MMO veteran, I want to be a hardcore player, and for that, I need you guys to teach me a thing or two. The gameplay seems very nice, I got the hang of it, everything flows very nice, but I need to know a few things:

1st - What the **** do Portable Altars do ? The description is very vague. What is that diety ?
2nd - What repeatable (daily/weekly) quests should I do ? [I'm low level ATM]
3rd - What drops / materials / quest items should I hold on to and keep for later ?
4th - Any help regarding farming / EXP-ing is more than welcomed.
5th - Another "more than welcomed" thing would be a Guild invitation, so I have people to talk to, ask questions, and get help from.

And that's about all ... any piece of info is usefull.

Again, HELLO TO EVERYONE, and let's hope I have a good time here :)

Best Regards,
Yggdrasil

    hi

ad 1) you will be able to pray for daily AD rewards and some buffs/potions later (lvl15 iirc). Keep em

ad 2) skirmish daily is ok and worth doing during the event time if you are low lvl

ad 3) keep all mats, potions and enchants. sell the rest

ad 4) do quests, it's fastest way to lvl

Just to clarify this, if you look to the left of your mini map there should be 3 banners (they only show at a certain level, not sure which). These are the current event, and the next 2 events. Before these show up you can press L and see these and more events, and scroll to the right to see even more of them. If you mouseover an event you'll see what rewards it gives. In the case of the skirmish event you'll get 1000 AD for each skirmish you run while the event is active. You can get a good few runs in during the event (some classes have the queue pop quicker than others) and make a fair bit of AD for your level. Press K to bring up the queue, and click join on the skirmish.

Similarly if there is an upcoming foundry event you can do your foundry and not hand in the daily quest. Once the event starts hand it in and you get the extra reward. If you have a companion yet that's a good way to give it an experience boost (any time you get exp companions get it too).

Thanks for the info, pretty helpful :)

Now I have another question, FEATS, any suggestion on how to distribute the points ?

    Hello and welcome! :)

Guess you are as bored as we all are during the maintenance, right ? But thank you for the reply :)

I need to say, that from what I've seen so far, on the website, the forums, the wiki, and in-game, Neverwinter is the crown jewel of PWE's games. I haven't seen you on other PWE games that I played like FW, JD, BoI or WoI, so maybe you don't know how it is around there, so let me tell you ... those game have the WORST service ever, but I see PWE puts a lot of effort into keeping Neverwinter's community happy. So, what can I say now, good job so far, and keep up the good work !

PS: If you could share any info with me regarding the Moderator positions, or any kind of Community Helper - related jobs, that'd be great.
