Hi all,
GG map at the moment, is really really boring and sill. Seeing 40 ppl run as a mad cows, to caping 5 towers/flags, in a extremely large map like GG is not a PvP alternative, it's a waste opportunity! There are sometimes, where enemies doesn't attack me, because they have to run faster to achieve the flags/towers points... sad...

Redesign the map: a rectangular map (the half of the actual), without underpass and so many buildings, with only 3 towers/flags, with a steady time of caping to the center flag/tower... and you will see 40 happy ppl fighting a LOT, and pray for a reduced waiting on the next GG pvp event!!!

PW, if you are listening our feedbacks: GG is boring and tedious... pls consider to redesign it.
Thanks for read

Also, my 2cents.

Agreed, it just seems like a horse race right now. Maybe have 2 lanes similar to a moba instead of a big circle, so that at least you could stand somewhere to defend multiple points and there might actually be some good combat.

What about removing all the cap points and turning GG into a mass battle between the 2 teams? In the end, the team with the most points (kills, assists and whatnot) wins the GG event.

The only issue i see is, obviously, the zerging tactics. But at least it could give the pvpers a real reason to pvp in the scenery, other than just running like 'mad cows' (LOL!)

Simple solution to encourage fights, not simply running from spot to spot: give points for kills. Something like 5 points per kill to team. Decrease personal points for capturing towers from 300 to 150. That may work and for domination PvP.

Or you can put some guardian that you need to kill so you take point. After you kill it and you take point it spawns again but guardian attacks other team around that point so they need to kill him to take back point.... there are many ways that can make GG fun...

Yeah, I'm not thrilled about the GG PvP map or mechanics either. PvP should be more about fighing than flag capturing. I'd like to see something that encourages combat between players, not tower-grabbing. The idea of giving more points to killing players, and assists would be great if the points exceeded the points begotten from tower-grabbing.

    Maybe a point system like:
    Per Kill: 200
    Per Assist: 100
    Tower Rush: 75
    Node Capture: 50

Exactly! "PvP" now is just running from point to point in general. Defending or stopping an opponent from capturing is not rewarding at all. Even winning is not so much rewarding compared to placing high on scoreboard with multiple point captures.

i agree. it is kinda silly the way it is. because PvP never happens, the team avoid more battles and focus on only objectives and running from fights wins. makes sense, strategy ok. but is kinda of silly in a PvP event. i think if there were 3 objectives only, with greater distance between them it would be very massive combat.

Domination is a very particular type of PvP with the way the points are handed out generally placing the emphasis on capping rather than holding and above killing. It is what it is :)

Capture the flag (CTF) might be fun with the right map. 5v5 with TR's as the cappers, GF on defense and CWs controlling mid.

Team Death match style games aren't really suited to games like Neverwinter imo. Unless there are power ups or pickups (armour, weaps etc) their tactical potential is limited.

What we really need is Freeze Tag :)

Putting the Buff into Debuff since 2013 \o/ (Does that even make sense)?

As far as GG PvP goes, I'd like to also add that the time duration for the GG PvP is really long. The 2k AD reward for doing it is not a lot for the time investment. GG coins aren't all that great, id rather have AD then the GG coins.

I love the GG PvP, it's much more entertaining for me than the 5 v 5 matches. The idea of capturing and holding different points in GG seems much more in keeping with the Lore, particularly with the way that different points give different buffs or summon monsters as allies. If anything, I would like to see the teams expanded beyond 20 (if it were possible, I think we need more players for that) to make it much more tactical and have slightly less circuit racing.

GG PVP is far superior to the 5vs5 PVP primarily because it is much more of a team-centric format, and there is actual strategy and tactics involved, rather than being largely 1 on 1 individual gladiator-fests. If it is not your cup of tea, stick to 5v5 PVP. If you like huge brawls, GG PVP has that. If you like tactics and contributing to a team effort without huge brawls, GG PVP has that too. Fundamentally, it is a CTF game, pure and simple, the PVP aspect is just the method for resolving combat when and where it happens.

IMHO, GG map now, is pretty equiparable to a Nascar Racing, far away from Lore...

how many time you see, your enemies, run away from you only for catch the point of the near flag?

I'm not talking about a big arena for swashing gladiator-fests, as you describe. I think the map can be better IMPROVED... is too large (try to do without mount!), the huge brawls you're talking about are totally inexistent... if you think a horse race is a pure and simple CTF, so you are welcome in GG now

IMHO 5vs5 is the pure and simple CTF game: with balanced distance, especially in Hotenow, where you can adopt reasonable tactics and strategy to win.

Gauntlgrym has a little of everything: huge battles, horse racing, and various strategy/tactics such as defending, ambush, etc ...

In my GG experiences, most GG players are selfish or low effort players who prefer to ride in the herd for safety and ease.

Stop riding in the herd, and start using diffierent tactics. GG is very fun to play if you use tactics.

As a CW, 5v5 map is too small for me. If you like 5v5 pvp, GG has that too (but not all the time of course).

The best aspect of GG pvp is that it's less predictable than 5v5 pvp.
more players and larger, complex map = more possible formations/strategy/tactics
